th
Wheel
The TPMS Module Mount should be placed on
the trailer frame of a boat or utility trailer,
exterior trailer wall if mounting on a gooseneck,
horse, and inside the front storage compartment
of a travel trailer or 5
th
wheel (see table to the
right). The TPMS module must be mounted on
the trailer frame or exterior wall if mounting on
an aluminum body trailer (e.g. Airstream). If
mounting in a motorized RV, mount anywhere
between the front (steering) and rear axles.
NOTE
: It is recommended to mount the TPMS
Module no further than 35FT away from the
furthermost rear axle and no further than 60FT

Baseline Pressure Explained
: A baseline tire pressure is the
recommended, or ambient, tire pressure. Sometimes called "cold
tire pressure," it is the tire pressure before your tires start rolling
down the road. It is also the cold tire pressure recommended by
your vehicle’s manufacturer. This is the pressure that should be set
into the Baseline screen. Once added, your TireMinder system will
automatically alert you if your tires go below 15% of your baseline
(low pressure) or 20% above your baseline (high pressure).

Alerts – What to do if an Alert Occurs
WARNING: Do not attempt to view, interpret, adjust, or operate the TPMS monitor while driving. Distracted driving
may result in loss of vehicle control, serious injury, or death.
If a TPMS alert occurs while the vehicle is moving:
• Remain calm and maintain control of the vehicle.
• Do not make sudden steering, braking, or acceleration movements.
• If a passenger is available, the passenger may review the TPMS and identify the affected tire and alert condition.
• The driver must reduce speed as conditions permit and proceed to the nearest safe location away from traffic.
• Activate the vehicle’s hazard warning lights as appropriate.
• Stop and inspect the affected tire only when the vehicle is safely parked on a stable surface and away from moving traffic.
Low-Pressure
or Leak Alert
Safely stop and inspect the affected tire. If pressure is dropping rapidly, vehicle handling changes, or the
tire appears damaged, stop as soon as safely possible.
Verify pressure with an accurate gauge. Do not
continue driving if the tire is damaged, cannot maintain pressure, or cannot safely support the vehicle.
High-
Pressure
Alert
Safely stop and verify the tire pressure. Do not release air from a hot tire solely to return it to its cold
inflation pressure. Allow the tire to cool before making adjustments.
High-
Temperature
Alert
Safely stop away from traffic and combustible materials. Do not touch the tire, wheel, hub, bearing, or
brake components while hot.
High temperature may indicate tire damage, underinflation, overloading, a
dragging brake, or a wheel-bearing problem. Do not resume travel until the cause has been identified
and the vehicle is safe to operate.

background
O-Rings (External Sensors)
Sensor O-rings will also need to be replaced at some point. Their life varies greatly depending
mostly on climate conditions. If you are not sure of their condition, consider changing them annually
when you replace your batteries using our battery replacement program. To replace the O-ring,
remove the rubber O-ring that is at the base of where the cap threads onto the monitor. Once
removed, place a new O-ring in the same position. Please do not try to find them at Home Depot or
Lowes. They will cost you more and will not be the right size. We know from experience!
Sensor Caps (External Sensors)
The TireMinder caps are a crucial piece of the sensor. The cap, along with the O-Rings, keeps the sensor away from any
weather and environmental damage. Like the O-Ring, their life depends mostly on climate conditions. The caps should be
checked frequently. If one becomes broken or cracked, it should be replaced as soon as possible.
Does the System Need to Be Reprogrammed Every Time I Change Batteries? (External Sensors)
No, you do not need to reprogram the TireMinder system every time you change batteries. Just remember to put the sensor
back on the same tire position they were taken off of.
