Important Safety Information
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
The necessary precautions must be taken when using electrical appliances, and
these include the following:

Make sure that the voltage on the appliance rating plate corresponds to that
of the mains electricity.

Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the power supply;
unplug it after every use.

WARNING: Continuous Operation - Do not operate the appliance for longer
than 45 minutes. Unplug and allow a 45 minute cool down period between
each 45 minute operation.

The Baking Stone Plate must only be used with the ceramic coated surface
facing upwards.

Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or when barefoot.

To unplug the appliance, grip the plug and remove it directly from the power
socket. Never pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.

For safety reasons, your appliance must be connected to an earthed socket

During the initial operating cycles the oven will smoke. This is absolutely
normal and will disappear after it has been used for some time. Note: A certain
amount of smoke or steam is always generated when cooking, this is normal.
O
Do not place the appliance on/near to sources of heat or electrical parts. Do
not position it on other appliances.
O
Do not cover the insides of the oven with aluminium foil.
O
Do not use baking paper with the appliance to avoid risk of fire.
O
Only use the oven to cook or heat foods.
O
Do not place cloths or plates on the appliance.
O
Do not use the oven in kitchen units or built into furniture.
O
Do not use the appliance near to walls or curtains.
O
After use, switch off and wait to cool down before moving or cleaning it.
O
The outer surfaces of the appliance can become very hot while it is operating.

WARNING – Place the oven on a worktop capable of withstanding
temperatures of at least 90°C, taking care that there is nothing on it to
prevent the passage of air.

WARNING – Danger of burns. Do not touch the hot surfaces while the oven is
in use.

Do not touch the external and internal surfaces when the appliance is on,
these parts are very hot. Use oven gloves when cooking with the appliance.

This product is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.

Never use the appliance if the power cord or plug are damaged or if the
appliance itself is faulty; in this case, take it to your nearest Authorised
Assistance Centre.

To prevent any risks, if the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its Technical Assistance Service or a similarly qualified person.

This appliance is designed for HOME USE ONLY. It is not intended to be
used in: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments,
farm houses, hotels, motels and other residential type environments, bed and
breakfast type environments.

WARNING: The appliance is designed to be operated strictly with the lid in the
closed position.

The lid is specifically intended to function as a splash guard to prevent hot
grease or liquids escaping during the cooking process.

Caution, hot surface. The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.

This appliance is not intended and engineered for outdoor use. Use it indoor
only.
O
Do not allow the upper part to fall uncontrollably, as this could damage the
baking stone plate or cause crushed hands or fingers. Always operate the top
gently using the handles when opening and closing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING:
Only clean the oven after first making sure that it is unplugged from the power
mains and that it has cooled down completely.

Remove cooking residues with a heat resistant spatula.
O
Avoid the use of abrasive products or any other aggressive detergents.
O
The baking stone plate tends to change its colour into a darker hue, showing
spots and small cracks. This does not jeopardize the operation of the oven or
the cooking quality.
O
Wipe the outer surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth. The baking stone
plate can also be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Plug and Fuse Information

Make sure your electricity supply is the same as the one shown on the underside of the
power unit.

The wires in the cord are coloured as follows:
Blue = Neutral, Brown = Live
O
If the plug is cut off it must be DESTROYED IMMEDIATELY. An electric shock hazard may
arise if an unwanted non-rewireable plug is inadvertently inserted into a socket outlet.
O
If the plug supplied with your appliance has a fuse fitted and the fuse fails it must be replaced
with one of the same rating.
Note:

For non-rewireable Plug Type G the fuse cover MUST be refitted when replacing the fuse. If
the fuse cover is lost then the plug must not be used until a replacement can be obtained.
The correct fuse cover is identified by colour and a replacement may be obtained from your
Kenwood Authorised Repairer (see Service).

This appliance conforms to EC Regulation 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to
come into contact with food.
Before Use
1 Remove the packaging material and make sure all parts are included. Never use the
appliance if damaged.
2 Check the baking plate is clean and free of dust streaks. If need be, clean using a damp
cloth.
3. It is recommended to clean the base before starting heating up and proceed with
cooking to remove any small dust residues that have formed in the cooling and rest
stage of the product. Clean all parts in contact with food before first use.
4 While using for the first time, a very small amount of smoke may come out. This is just
caused by the warming up of some parts.
5 Ensure the cord is fully unwound before using the appliance.

To Use Your Pizza Oven
Important
O
The timer does not switch on and off the oven! It is therefore important to check
the appliance after the time set has elapsed. To switch the appliance off, set the
temperature dial to “0” and unplug it.
O
For the best pizza baking results, it is recommended to pre-heat the oven at the
highest temperature for about 10 minutes.
O
When cooking fresh dough, lightly flour the stone before placing the dough directly
on the stone. If you have a sticky dough, add more flour to the dough as it will stick
to the stone.
O
The maximum diameter of pizzas that can be baked using the pizza oven is
11 inches/28cm.
O

250 g Gluten Free Bread Flour 250g
(For best results use a gluten free flour made from a blend of rice and maize starches and
buckwheat flour)
210 g Water
3.5 g Instant Yeast
6 g Salt
10 g Olive Oil
10 g Sugar
1 Add all the ingredients to your bowl.
2 Knead the ingredients for 10 minutes

3 Transfer into a floured bowl, cover with clingfilm and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4 Roll the dough into 250g balls, on a floured surface.
5 Bake the pizza base for 3 minutes without toppings.
6 Bake the pizza base fur a further 3 minutes with the sauce and toppings added.
Simple Pizza Dough
500 g Bread Flour
10 g Salt
340 g Water
7 g Instant Yeast
30 g Olive Oil
1 Add all the ingredients to your bowl.
2 Knead the ingredients for 10 minutes.
3 Transfer into a floured bowl, cover with clingfilm and proof for 1 hour.
4 Roll the dough into 300g balls, on a floured surface.
5 Bake the pizza base for 4 minutes with pizza sauce and toppings.
Quick Flat Bread
225 g Plain Flour
3 tsp Baking Powder
¾ tsp Salt
225 g Natural Yoghurt
25 g Olive Oil
1 Add all the ingredients into your bowl.
2 Knead the ingredients for 10 minutes
3 Transfer into a floured bowl, cover with clingfilm and proof for 1 hour.
4 Roll the dough into 200g balls, on a floured surface.
5 Bake the flat breads for 3-4 minutes on setting 4.
Quick 3 minute Cook Pizza
200 g Fresh Pizza Dough (Homemade or Shop brought dough)
45 g Pizza Sauce
90 g Grated Mozzarella Cheese
1 Pre-heat the pizza oven on setting 5 for 10 minutes.
2 On a floured surface , roll out the fresh pizza dough into a 11inch thin pizza.
3 Spread the the pizza sauce topping across the base, leaving a small edge for the crust.
4 Top with the grated mozzarella cheese.
5 Using the pizza peels transfer the pizza to the pre-heated oven.
6 Cook for 3 minute on setting 5.
7 Using the pizza peels, transfer to a chopping board, cut into slices.
