Optimized for ultra-low power applications, such as those powered by batteries, the CSM-200 Ultra Low Power Mobile-Ready Contactless
Smartcard Module is a member of Farpointe’s CONEKT
®
line of mobile-ready modules, readers, and credentials. Making use of the proven
LEGIC
®
contactless digital radio frequency identification (RFID) platform, the CSM-200 is intended to be embedded into applications, such as
electro-mechanical solutions, where the use of mobile smartphone credentials, such as those making use of BLE and NFC, and/or physical
contactless smartcard credentials, is desired.
The CSM-200’s compact design allows it to be embedded in tight places. Physical size is 1.7" W × 1.3" H × 0.26" D at coil connector (43.2 × 33
× 6.6 mm). The CSM-200 is typically capable of delivering non-contact read ranges up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) with mobile or traditional physical
credentials. Operating at 6 VDC, the typical idle mode current draw is less than 25 uA with default settings. Standard output formats include
open collector Wiegand or serial communication protocols. In addition to traditional contactless smartcard access credentials, such as clamshell
cards and key tags, the platform also offers the option of mobile access credentials loaded on NFC- or BLE-enabled smartphones. This allows the
smartphone to function as a contactless electronic access control credential.
