Wichtig - Laden der Akkus / Nutzungsdauer pro Ladung
Bitte unbedingt darauf achten, dass das Handteil bei der Aufladung ausgeschaltet ist, da sonst keine Aufladung
erfolgt. Wenn Sie das Gerät einmal pro Tag für ca. 10 Minuten benutzen, reicht eine Akkuladung für ungefähr 10
Tage. Danach ist eine erneute Aufladung nach Bedarf erforderlich.
Erstanwendung
1. Den Ultraschallaufsatz immer senkrecht aufstecken und auch senkrecht nach oben wieder
entfernen. So vermeiden Sie eine Beschädigung der Kontaktstifte des Handteils durch Verkanten.
2. Stecker der Ladestation mit der Steckdose verbinden, Handteil mit aufgestecktem
Bürstenaufsatz auf die Ladestation stecken und für 24 Stunden laden.
Die LED 1 leuchtet blau, sobald die Bürste auf die Ladestation gestellt wird. Helles
blaues Licht bedeutet: Ladevorgang läuft, schwaches blaues Licht heißt: Ladung abgeschlossen.
WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Die Ultraschallgeräte der Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH sind eine innovative und wirkungsvolle
Methode der Zahnreinigung und Mundhygiene (Mikrozahnreinigung) für Menschen und Tiere.
Bitte die Bedienungs anleitung sorgfältig und komplett lesen, ebenso die beiliegenden
Warnhinweise. Um einen Stromschlag zu vermeiden, bitte Folgendes beachten:
1. Ladestation so platzieren, dass sie nicht in Badewannen oder Waschbecken fallen kann.
2. Ladestation nur auf trockenem Untergrund und in trockener Umgebung verwenden.
3. Wenn die Ladestation ins Wasser gefallen ist, nicht berühren.
Ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker.
4. Ladestation nicht in der Bade wanne benutzen.
LED-Anzeige
1. LED blau - LÄDT
Die LED 1 leuchtet blau, sobald die Bürste auf die Ladestation gestellt wird. Helles blaues Licht bedeutet:
Ladevorgang läuft, schwaches blaues Licht heißt: Ladung abgeschlossen.
2. LED grün - AN
Ist das Gerät eingeschaltet und der Bürstenkopf aufgesteckt, leuchtet die LED permanent grün.
3. LED rot blinkend - CHECK / STÖRUNG / AKKULADUNG
Es liegt eine Störung vor, leuchtet die rote LED und das Gerät schaltet sich ab. Ist die Batterie stark entladen, blinkt
nach dem Putzvorgang die LED 1 ein paarmal rot. Jetzt sollte die Bürste unbedingt aufgeladen werden, da die
Batterie-Energie möglicherweise nicht mehr für einen weiteren Putzvorgang ausreicht.
4. Gerät ausgeschaltet - keine Anzeige.
Zusätzliche Eigenschaften
Aufsatzerkennung (Transport Safe Funktion): ohne Aufsatz schaltet das Gerät automatisch ab und lässt sich nicht einschalten.
Die grüne LED leuchtet kurz auf und sie schaltet sich wieder ab.
Selbstabschaltung (Akku Safe Funktion): das Gerät schaltet selbständig nach 6 Minuten ab.

Einsatzfälle verwendet werden, dass heißt zur Zahnreinigung und Mundhygiene bei Mensch und Tier
und dies nur in Verbindung mit den von der Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH empfohlenen oder zugelassenen
Fremdgeräten oder Fremdkomponenten. Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch übernimmt die Emmi Ultrasonic
GmbH keine Haftung für eventuell auftretende Schäden sowie keine Garantie für ein einwandfreies und
funktionsgemäßes Arbeiten der Komponenten. Zum bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch gehört auch das
Beachten aller Hinweise in der Bedienungsanleitung. Darauf weist das Symbol auf dem Typenschild hin.
Der einwandfreie und sichere Betrieb der Produkte setzt sachgemäßen Transport, sachgemäße Lagerung,
Aufstellung und Montage sowie sorgfältige Bedienung und Instandhaltung voraus. Die wiederkehrenden
Prüfungen gemäß DGUVV3 sind zu beachten. Das Gerät muss so aufgestellt werden, dass der Netzstecker
der Ladestation jederzeit frei zugänglich ist.

Bei bestimmungswidrigem Gebrauch des Produkts können sowohl Gefahren für Leib und Leben als auch
Sach beschädigungen auftreten. Aus diesem Grund ist ein bestimmungswidriger Gebrauch untersagt.
Im Falle eines bestimmungswidrigem Gebrauchs übernimmt die Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH keine Haftung für
eventuell auftretende Schäden und keine Garantie für einwandfreies und funktions gemäßes Arbeiten der
Ko mp o ne n te n. Um e i ne n b e st i mm u ng sw i dr i ge n G ebrauch des Gerätes auszuschließen, sind folgende Hinweise
zu beachten:
Das Ultraschallgerät für die Zahnreinigung und Maulhygiene darf nur mit
der Netzspannung betrieben werden, die auf dem Typenschild
(Unterseite der Ladestation) aufgedruckt ist.
Keine brennbaren oder aggressiven Chemikalien,
Säuren, Laugen o. ä. zur Reinigung verwenden.
Falls Transportschäden festgestellt werden,
die Ladestation nicht an das Stromnetz
anschließen.

Eine Möglichkeit Ihr Tier an die Zahnreinigung mit Ultraschall der emmi
®
-pet zu
gewöhnen. (Letztendlich kennen Sie Ihr Tier am Besten)
u
Drücken Sie ein 1 cm großes Stück Ultraschallzahncreme auf Ihren Finger. Lassen Sie Ihr Tier an der
Zahncreme schnüffeln und lecken.
vSchalten Sie das Gerät ein und zeigen Sie es Ihrem Tier.
wHalten Sie das Handteil mit dem aufgesteckten Ultraschallaufsatz an das Maul Ihres Tieres und
sprechen Sie beruhigend auf es ein.
xVorsichtig die Lefzen hochheben und den Bürstenaufsatz langsam einführen, um Ihr Tier an den
Reinigungsvorgang zu gewöhnen.
yBeginnen Sie nun mit der Zahnreinigung. Gehen Sie von Zahn zu Zahn und wiederholen Sie die
folgenden Anwendungsschritte. Die Ultraschallzahncreme locker mit den Borsten über die Zahninnen-
und Zahnaußenseiten und auf den Kauflächen verteilen. Beginnen Sie mit den hinteren Backenzähnen
und halten Sie die Borsten des Ultraschallaufsatzes bewegungslos und ohne Druck an die Zähne.
Sie decken mit dem Ultraschallaufsatz 1 bis 3 Zähne gleichzeitig ab. Für ca. 10 Sekunden an den
Zähnen verweilen und danach zu den nächsten Zähnen übergehen. Bitte bewegen Sie während der
Reinigung das Gerät nicht, da sonst keine Wirkung erfolgt. Die durch den emmi
®
-pet Ultraschall in der
Ultraschallzahncreme erzeugten Mikrobläschen sorgen für eine gründliche Zahnreinigung ohne Abrieb.
zNach Beendigung der Zahnreinigung die Borsten unter fließendem Wasser abspülen. Das Gerät bleibt
dabei angeschaltet. Nach dem Abspülen können Sie das Gerät ausschalten. Der Ultraschall hat eine
sterilisierende Wirkung, so dass die Borsten nach dem Abspülen desinfiziert sind. Das Gerät kann nach
jeder Reinigung wieder auf die Ladestation gestellt werden. Dies schadet den Akkus nicht.

Regelmäßige Anwendung
Wir empfehlen, die emmi
®
-pet zur Zahnreinigung und Maulhygiene regelmäßig anzuwenden, etwa 1- bis
3-mal pro Woche (Tierärzte empfehlen die tägliche Zahnreinigung). Die Dauer der Zahnreinigung sollte in
Abhängigkeit des Verschmutzungsgrades der Zähne Ihres Tieres zwischen 3 - 10 Minuten betragen. Erfolgt
eine regelmäßige (tägliche Zahnreinigung) reichen 3 Minuten im Rahmen der Vorbeugung. Erfolgt eine
unregelmäßige Zahnreinigung Ihrer Tieres mit der emmi
®
-pet empfehlen wir bis zu 10 Minuten intensive
Beschallung der Zähne. Ultraschall ist für Ihr Tier absolut ungefährlich. Bei kritischen Entzündungen oder
starker Zahnsteinbildung werden eine längere Reinigungszeit und eine Kontrolle durch einen Tierarzt
empfohlen.
Wie funktioniert die emmi
®
-pet in Kombination mit der speziellen mit Mikrobläschen
angereicherten emmi
®
-pet Ultraschallzahncreme?
In der mitgelieferten emmi
®
-pet Ultraschallzahncreme befinden sich mikroskopisch kleine Luftbläschen
(Mikrobläschen), die einem zusätzlichen Produktionsschritt angereichert wurden. Hierzu liegt von der Goethe
Universität Frankfurt am Main eine entsprechende Bestätigung vor. In einem Bereich von einem mm

wurden mehr als 3,5 Mio. Mikrobläschen nachgewiesen. Die Ultraschallschwingungen zerstören die Struktur
der Mikrobläschen und diese fallen in sich zusammen. Dabei entsteht ein Sog-Effekt, der den Biofilm und
die Beläge von den Zähnen löst. Im Nachgang empfehlen wir mit den Borsten über die Zähne zu gehen, um
den gelösten Biofilm sowie die Beläge vom Zahn abzutragen. Dies alles geschieht, ohne dass Ihr Tier etwas
davon spürt.
WICHTIG:
Das Gerät arbeitet vibrations- und geräuschlos, um das Tier nicht zu
erschrecken oder zu verunsichern. Um sicherzugehen, dass das Gerät
korrekt arbeitet, überprüfen Sie, ob die grüne Anzeige unterhalb des
Schalters am Handteil bei Betrieb dauerhaft leuchtet. Ohne aufge-
steckten Ultraschallaufsatz lässt sich das Gerät nicht einschalten.

Akute Zahnfleischentzündungen
Bei akuten Problemen, die Borsten locker an die betroffenen Zähne, danach zusätzlich direkt an das Zahn-
fleisch halten. Dort möglichst für 30 bis 60 Sekunden verweilen. Dadurch können Sie eine schnelle und
wirkungsvolle Besserung erzielen. Die längere Anwendungszeit ist unkritisch, da der verwendete Ultraschall
absolut unschädlich ist.
Vermeidung von schlechtem Maulgeruch
Da der Ultraschall der emmi
®
-pet Bakterien auf und im Zahnfleisch reduziert, kann der schlechte Geruch, der
durch lebende Bakterien verursacht wird, vermieden werden. Diese Wirkung hält mehrere Stunden an.
Wirkungsweise
Die Zahnreinigung und Maulhygiene mit Ultraschall
ist eine wirkungsvolle Methode für zu Hause. Die
emmi
®
-pet funktioniert nicht wie klassische, manuelle,
elektrische oder Schallzahnbürsten, die alle mittels
mechanischen Abriebs arbeiten. Die emmi
®
-pet nutzt
die Fähigkeiten moderner Ultraschalltechnologie. Bei
der Zahnreinigung mit emmi
®
-pet erfolgt die Reinigung
nicht durch das «Schmirgeln» mit abrasiven Stoffen
wie bei herkömmlichen Zahncremes üblich, sondern
durch weichen Ultraschall. Die Anwendung von
weich em Ultraschall ist absolut unschädlich für Mensch
und Tier, unabhängig vom Alter. Es ist wissenschaftlich
nachgewiesen, dass Ultraschall mit einer Leistung
bis 50 Watt für Mensch und Tier unschädlich ist. Der

-pet arbeitet mit nur 0,2 Watt.
Die positive Wirkung und die Sicherheit wurden von
Tierzahnmedizinern und Veterinären nachgewiesen
und bestätigt. Die Zahnreinigung und Maulhygiene
mit Ultraschall wird seit Jahren angewendet, ohne
dass Nebenwirkung aufgetreten sind. Millionen von
Ultraschallwellen werden jede Minute durch den
patentierten Ultraschallchip im Bürstenkopf erzeugt. Die Ultraschallwellen werden über jede einzelne Borste
in die Ultraschallzahncreme übertragen. In der mitgelieferten emmi

macht. Je weicher die Borsten werden, umso geringer ist die Ultraschallübertragung und die Ergebnisse der

Akku-Pflege und Entsorgung
Die Akkus befinden sich im wasserdichten Handteil des Gerätes. Das Handteil kann nach Gebrauch wieder auf
die Ladestation zurückgestellt oder, wenn es voll aufgeladen ist, für bis zu ca. 10 Tage ohne Wiederaufladung
benutzt werden. Wenn die Gesamtreinigungszeit pro Tag länger als 10 Minuten beträgt, die Akkus in
einem entsprechend kürzeren Zeitraum wieder aufladen. Unbedingt darauf achten, dass die Akkus nie völlig
entladen werden. Wenn die Akkus einen kritischen Entladungswert erreicht haben, leuchtet beim Anschalten
die Anzeige nicht grün, sondern rot und beginnt zu blinken. Wenn das der Fall ist, muss das Gerät unbedingt
erneut aufgeladen werden, um eine mögliche Beschädigung der Akkus zu vermeiden. Das Gerät enthält einen
speziellen umweltfreundlichen Lithium Akku, der trotzdem nicht über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden darf.
Für die Entsorgung stehen Ihnen die Sammelbehälter des GRS (Gemeinsames Rücknahmesystem) sowie
andere Rücknahmestellen zur Verfügung (z. B. alle Verkaufsstellen ähnlicher Akkus).

Garantie
Für dieses Produkt gilt eine Garantie von 24 Monaten ab Kaufdatum. Defekte, die während dieser
Garantiezeit in Form von Material- und /oder Herstellungsfehlern auftreten, werden kostenfrei behoben.
Dies erfolgt durch Reparatur oder Austausch. Soweit gesetzlich zulässig, sind andere Ersatzansprüche
ausgeschlossen. Die Garantieleistung entfällt beim Eingreifen Dritter bzw. bei Demontage seitens Dritter
ohne unsere vorherige schriftliche Zustimmung. Die Garantieleistung entfällt auch bei willkürlicher
Beschädigung oder fehlerhafter Handhabung. Bei Erbringung einer Garantieleistung verlängert sich der

Important - Charging of batteries / Performance per charge
Please make sure that the handpiece is switched off during charging, otherwise charging will not be
possible. If you use the unit 10 minutes once a day, you can use it on the battery for approx. 10 days.
Afterwards, charging as needed is required.
First Use
1. Always insert the ultrasound attachment in vertical direction and remove it also vertically.
This avoids damage to the handpiece contact pin due to jamming.
2. Connect the plug to the socket, place the handpiece with ultrasound attachment
on the charging station and charge the unit for 24 hours.
LED 1 lights up blue as soon as the brush is placed on the charging station. Bright blue
light means: charging in progress, dim blue light means: charging complete.
IMPORTANT SECURITY ADVISE
The ultrasonic devices of Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH reflect the newest and most effective
way of dental cleaning and oral hygiene for humans and animals. Please read the user
manual carefully and completely as well as the enclosed warning notices. To avoid an
electric shock please pay attention to the below:
1. Always place the charging station in such a way that it cannot fall into bathtubs
or washbasins
2. Use the charging station on dry subsoil and in dry surrounding only.
3. In case the charging station has fallen into water, don‘t touch it.
4. Interrupt immediately the power supply.
5. Never use the charging station in the bath tub.
LED Display
1. LED blue – CHARGING
LED 1 lights up blue as soon as the brush is placed on the charging station. Bright blue light means: charging in
progress, dim blue light means: charging complete.
2. LED green – ON
If the unit is switched on and the ultrasound attachment is inserted, the green LED is lit continuously.
3. LED red blinking - CHECK / FAULT / BATTERY CHARGE
If there is a fault, the red LED lights up and the device switches off. If the battery is heavily discharged, LED 1 flashes
red a few times after the cleaning process. Now the brush should be charged without fail, as the battery energy may
no longer be sufficient for another cleaning process.
4. Unit switched off - No display
Additional features
Attachment detection (Transport Safe function): without an attachment, the unit switches off automatically and cannot be
switched on. The green LED lights up briefly and switches off again.
Automatic switch-off (Akku Safe function): the device switches off automatically after 6 minutes.

Intended Use
To avoid the risk of damages, fire, electrocution or injuries please follow the below:
Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. This means, use the device only for
the dental cleaning and oral hygiene of animals and only in conjunction with other devices and components
recommended by Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH. Any other or beyond usage is considered as not intended. In case
of not intended use Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH refuses the liabiliy for possibly appearing damages and the
guarantee for a functional operation of the components. Intended use also includes following all indications
stated in this manual. This is pointed out by the symbol on the type plate. A correct and secure operation
of the product requires appropriate transport, storage, placement and set up as well as an elaborate handling
and maintenance. The recurring testings according to DGUVV3 are to be considered. The device needs to be
positioned in a way that the power plug is freely accessible at any time.
Not Intended Use
In case of not intended use dangers for life and body as well as material damages can occur.
For this reason not intended use is permitted. In case of not intended use Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH
refuses the liabiliy for possibly appearing damages and the guarantee for a functional operation
of the components. To avoid not intended use, please follow the below.
This device for dental cleaning and oral hygiene may be operated only with the supply
voltage printed on the type plate (bottom side of the charging station).
Don‘t use any flammable or aggressive chemicals, acids, bases, etc. to clean the device.
In case transport damages are experienced, don‘t connect the
charging station to the power supply.
The device may be operated only indoor at room temperature.

One way to get your animal used to dental and oral care with the original
Ultrasound of emmi
®
-pet (you know your pet best after all)

Press 1 cm of Ultrasound toothpaste on your finger. Let your animal sniff and lick the cream.
vSwitch the unit on and show it to your animal.

Hold the handpiece with the Ultrasound tip near the mouth of your animal and talk reassuringly to your
animal.

Lift carefully his lips and introduce slowly the ultrasonic attachment into his mouth, in order to get your
animal used to the hygienic procedure.

Now start cleaning the teeth. Go from tooth to tooth and repeat the following application steps. With
the bristles, distribute loosely the Ultrasound toothpaste over the inner and outer surfaces of teeth and
chewing surfaces. Start with his back teeth while holding the bristles of the ultrasonic attachment and
tip motionless on the teeth without any pressure. The ultrasonic attachment allows you to cover 1 to 3
teeth at once. Leave the brush approx. 10 seconds on the teeth and move on to the next teeth. Please
do not move the unit during cleansing, otherwise it will not function. The micro-bubbles that are
generated in the Ultrasound toothpaste by the emmi
®
-pet Ultrasound ensure a thorough and friction-
free cleansing.

After cleansing, wash the bristles under running water. The unit remains switched on during this
procedure. After rinsing, you can switch off the unit. The Ultrasound has a sterilization effect which
ensures desinfection after rinsing. After each cleansing, the device can be repositioned on the charging
station. This does not damage the battery.

Daily Use
We recommend to use the emmi
®
-pet for dental and mouth care approximately 1 to 3 times a week (veterinarians
recommend a daily use). The duration of the cleaning should be between 3 - 10 minutes depending on the degree
of contamination of your pet›s teeth. If a regular cleaining is happening (daily tooth cleaning) 3 minutes are
enoughas part of the prevention. If your pets teeth are cleaned irregularly with the emmi
®
-pet, we recommend
intensive sonication of the teeth for up to 10 minutes. Ultrasound is absolutely harmless to your animal.

-pet Ultrasound toothpaste for animals has been developed specially for dental care in animals.
The emmi

-pet, along with the Ultrasound unit for dental and mouth care, gently cleans the teeth of your
animal without any friction. It is important that you use the emmi
®
-pet Ultrasound toothpaste for animal
use for the dental care of your animal. The supplied emmi
®
-pet ultrasonic toothpaste contains microscopic air
bubbles (microbubbles) that have been enriched in an additional production step. The Goethe University of
Frankfurt am Main has confirmed this. More than 3.5 million microbubbles were detected in a range of one
mm3. The ultrasonic vibrations destroy the structure of the microbubbles and they collapse. This creates a
suction effect that removes the biofilm and the plaque from the teeth. Afterwards we recommend brushing
the bristles over the teeth to remove the loosened biofilm and the plaque from the tooth. All of this happens
without your animal noticing it. A traditional toothpaste will not generate the micro-activity (generation
of micro-bubbles) which is indispensable for the functioning of the emmi
®
-pet Ultrasound in dental care
applications.
IMPORTANT:
The device has a vibration and noiseless functioning in order not to frighten
or upset your animal. The correct functioning of the unit is ensured if the
green display under the switch of the handpiece is continuously lit during
operation. The unit cannot be used if the Ultrasound tip is not inserted.

Acute inflammations of the gums
In case of acute problems, hold the bristles loosely on the concerned teeth and then directly on the gingiva.
Leave them there for about 30 to 60 seconds. This allows you a quick and effective improvement. Prolonged
use is not critical, since the Ultrasound is absolutely harmless.
Preventing a bad smell from the mouth
Since the emmi
®
-pet Ultrasound reduces the bacteria on and in the gingiva, it also prevents the bad smell
caused by living bacteria. It is effective for multiple hours.

On hygienic grounds, a same attachment must not be used for several animals.
Replace the attachments every 3 months, because the Ultrasound softens the
bristles after this period. When the bristles are softer, the Ultrasound transmission is reduced making the

Battery Care and Disposal
The battery is contained in the watertight handpiece of the unit. After use, the handpiece is to be
repositioned on the charging station. When it is fully charged, it can be used for approx. 10 days without
recharging. If the complete daily cleansing time exceeds 10 minutes, recharge the batteries within a
shorter period. Make sure that the batteries are never completely uncharged. In case the batteries have
reached a critical level, when the unit is switched on, the green display will not light up but start blinking.
In such case, recharge the unit immediately in order to avoid damages to the battery. Although the unit
contains a special environment-friendly lithium battery, do not dispose it with the normal household
waste. For disposal, community collection points as well as other containers are available (e.g. at all sale
points for similar batteries).

Warranty
For this product applies a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase. Defects which occur during the
warranty period, either material and/or production defects will be repaired or the device will be replaced at
no costs. As far as legally permissible, all other claims for compensation are excluded. The warranty doesn‘t
apply in the event of intervention by third parties or disassembly by third parties without prior written
approval by Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH. The warranty also doesn‘t apply in the event of arbitrary damage or
incorrect handling. In the event of a delivered warranty adjustment, the warranty period doesn‘t extent.
Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH reserves the right to invoice costs, incurred for unjustified complaints such as wrong
installation or operating errors. For making your warranty claim, it is necessary to store and provide the
receipt/proof of purchase stating the date of purchase. For a quick processing of your warranty claim please
send us the device, a copy of the invoice and a short written description of the defect. Please send your
claim sufficiently prepaid directly to Emmi Ultrasonic GmbH. Non-prepaid shipments can‘t be processed.
Herewith we point out the legal rights of the consumer as well as that these are not limited by the
warranty.
