Introduction
The BG-UHD-MVS41A is a 4K60 4x1 Multiviewer and seamless UHD video switcher which
was developed for the purpose of supporting higher output resolutions such as 4K@60 for
multiple sources on a single screen. It can combine up to four video signals onto a single
UHD or HD display. This device supports a full range of input video resolutions up to 4K@60
as well as audio extraction via RCA or S/PDIF optical d for external audio distribution
systems.
This device can be controlled via front panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232 commands. Users
can easily manage each input via control software and create various layouts and positions
for any of the four inputs on a single monitor.

Operation Controls and Functions

Power button
▪ Short press this button to power on the device.
▪ Long press this button for 1 second to enter standby mode.

Power LED
The Power LED will illuminate green when the product is powered
on, and red when the product is on standby.

Input 1-4 LEDs
Input signal indicator lights. When the HD 1/2/3/4 port connects to an active
source device, the corresponding green LED will illuminate.
Note: Only the LED of the selected input channel will illuminate green during
single screen display mode; all LEDs will illuminate green in multiview mode.

AUTO LED
When the device is set to AUTO mode, the AUTO LED will illuminate green,
and the HDMI will be automatically identified, that is, when the currently
displayed source signal is disconnected, the switcher will automatically
identify the next connected HDMI input port.

Output resolution switching button.
▪ Short press the RES button to cycle switch the output resolution of the
HDMI OUTPUT port (Please refer to the output resolution list in the
“Video & Audio” section of this manual).
▪ Long press the RES button for 3 seconds to switch the output resolution
to 720P60.

IR Remote
1. Power on or Standby: Press this button to power on
the switcher or set it to standby mode.
2. HD 1/2/3/4: Press these buttons to select the input
source on single screen display modes and the
corresponding input LED on the front panel will
illuminate green.
: Press these buttons to cycle select the last or
next input source on single screen display mode.
: Multiview display mode switching button.

4. A-IN: Press this button to pop up the audio channel selection OSD, then press the UP /
DOWN button to select the audio output channel. (The output audio follows the video
source by default.)
Mute: Press this button to mute / unmute the audio.
VOL-, VOL+: Press these buttons to increase / decrease the audio output volume.

The switcher supports 8 different multiview display modes: SINGLE, PIP, PBP (1), PBP
(2), Triple (1), Triple (2), Quad (1), Quad (2)
Users can select different operations for different Multiview modes as follows:
SINGLE: Inputs selection
PIP: Inputs selection, Sub window size and position selection
PBP (1), PBP (2), Triple (1), Triple (2), Quad (1), Quad (2): Inputs selection, Display mode
selection, Display aspect selection

RS-232 Command
The BG-UHD-MVS41A supports RS-232 command control. Connect the RS-232 port of the
product to a PC with a 3-pin phoenix connector cable. Then, open a Serial Command tool
on PC to send ASCII commands to control the product. The ASCII command list is shown
below.

Multiview Control Software - General Settings
General Interface Operations
You can perform the following operations from the General interface:
1. Control Mode Selection
Choose COM Control Mode as the control protocol.
- Note: TCP/IP Control Mode is currently unavailable and therefore disabled.
2. COM Control Settings
Select the appropriate Port Number and Baud Rate for your device.
3. Device Information
View the device name, firmware version, and input/output connection status.
Click Device Status to refresh and update the displayed information.
4. Connection Setup
Click the Connection button to establish or configure the communication link.
5. Connection Status
The Connected indicator shows the current connection state.

Output Interface Operations
You can perform the following actions from the Output interface:
1. Multi-View Adjustment
Select your preferred screen layout from the available multi-view modes.
The following eight display modes are supported:
○ Single
○ PIP (Picture-in-Picture)
○ PBP(1) (Picture-by-Picture)
○ PBP(2)
○ Triple(1)
○ Triple(2)
○ Quad(1)
○ Quad(2)
2. PIP Adjustment
When using PIP mode, you can:
○ Change the position and size of the PIP window
○ Apply a custom user-defined PIP layout

3. Multi-Viewer Display:
View both input and output sources on the screen.
4. Source Input:
Choose the input signal source. First, select a window in the Multi-Viewer Display section.
Then, choose the desired input by clicking HDMI 1/2/3/4 in the Source Input section, or
use the ◀ / ▶ buttons to cycle through the previous/next input sources.
5. Aspect Ratio:
Click Full Screen or 16:9 to adjust the display aspect ratio. Available display modes
include:
● PBP(1)
● PBP(2)
● Triple(1)
● Triple(2)
● Quad(2)
6. Auto Switch:
Enable or disable automatic input switching. This feature is available only in Single mode.
7. Output Settings:
Configure output options such as resolution, video keep-alive, PC/Video picture quality
(PQ), HDCP, audio source, and audio output.

System Interface Operations
1. EDID Mode Control: Click the drop-down menu on the right to select the desired
EDID mode.
2. Firmware Upgrade: Click the folder icon on the right to import the firmware
upgrade file. Then, click "Upgrade" to begin the process. A progress bar will appear
to indicate the upgrade status. Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the upgrade is
complete, and the device will automatically restart.
3. Factory Reset: Click "Reset" to restore the device to its factory default settings.
4. System Reboot: Click "Reboot" to restart the device.
