1. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical
Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local electrical codes. Electrical
installation should be performed by a qualied licensed
electrician.
2. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted
and capable of reliably supporting 35 lbs. (15.9 kg). Use only
UL Listed outlet boxes marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of
35 lbs. (15.9 kg) or less.”
3. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft (2.1 m)
clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the oor.
4. Do not operate the reversing switch while the fan blades are in
motion. You must turn the fan off and stop the blades before
you reverse the blade direction.
5. Do not place objects in the path of the blades.
6. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are not
packed with the fan must be UL listed and marked suitable for
use with the model fan you are installing. Switches must be UL
General Use Switches. Refer to the instructions packaged with
the light kits and switches for proper assembly. Use 9.5W LED
bulbs max (included).
7. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should
be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.
The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor
and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the
outlet box.
8. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where
necessary before installation.
9. Fan is for indoor use only.

do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as
anges) during assembly or after installation. Do not
insert objects in the path of the blades.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re or electric
shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed
control device.

testing the motor.

The supplier warrants the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a lifetime
after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. The supplier also warrants that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be
free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of one year after the date of purchase by the
original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or superior model if the product is
returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All costs of removing and reinstalling the product
are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident or misuse or improper installation or by afxing any accessories, is not covered by
this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover any changes in brass nish, including rusting, pitting, corroding,
tarnishing, or peeling. Brass nishes of this type give their longest useful life when protected from varying weather conditions. A certain amount of
“wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect. Servicing performed by unauthorized persons shall render the warranty invalid. There is
no other express warranty. Hampton Bay hereby disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to those of merchantability and tness
for a particular purpose to the extent permitted by law. The duration of any implied warranty which cannot be disclaimed is limited to the time

Installation
MOUNTING OPTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock
or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked
“Acceptable for fan support of 35 lbs. (15.9 Kg) or
less”, and use screws provided with the outlet box. An
outlet box commonly used for the support of lighting
xtures may not be acceptable for fan support and may
need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualied
electrician.
If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting
box, then install one using the following instructions:
□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off
the circuit breakers.
□ Secure the outlet box directly to the building structure. Use
the appropriate fasteners and materials. The outlet box and
its bracing must be able to fully support the weight of the
moving fan (at least 35 lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.
The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the
outlet box.
If the canopy touches the downrod, then remove the canopy bottom
cover, and turn the canopy 180° before attaching the canopy to the
mounting plate.
To hang your fan where there is an existing xture but no ceiling joist,
you may need an installation hanger bar as shown above
(available at any Home Depot store).
NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain
proper blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped
ceiling. The maximum angle allowable is 30° away from
horizontal.

Preparing for mounting
□ Loosen, but do not remove, the two setscrews (RR) on the
collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.
□ Align the holes at the bottom of the downrod (B) with the
holes in the collar (TT) on top of the motor housing.
□ Carefully insert the hanger pin (DD) through the holes in
the collar (TT) and downrod (B). Be careful not to jam the
hanger pin (DD) against the wiring inside the downrod (B).
□ Insert the locking pin (EE) through the hole near the end of
the hanger pin (DD) until it snaps into its locked position.
□ Re-tighten the two setscrews (RR) on the collar (TT) on top
of the motor housing.
□ Remove the canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by turning
the ring counterclockwise until it unlocks.
□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by
loosening the two canopy screws (FF) located in the “L
shaped” slots.
□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (FF) and lock
washers (GG) in the round holes. This will enable you to
remove the mounting bracket (A).
□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (F)
through the coupler cover (E), and canopy ring (D).
□ Make sure the slot openings are on top and route the
wires through the canopy (C) and then through the
ball/downrod assembly (B).

□ Pass the 120-Volt supply wires through the center hole in the
mounting bracket (A).
□ Install the ceiling mounting bracket on the outlet box by sliding
the mounting bracket (A) over the two screws (LL) provided with
the outlet box. If necessary, use leveling washers (not included)
between the mounting bracket (A) and the outlet box. Note that
the at side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the outlet box.
When using close-to-ceiling mounting, it is important that the
mounting bracket be level.
□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws (LL).

□ Remove the canopy ring (D) from the canopy (C) by turning the
ring counterclockwise until it unlocks.
□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C) by
loosening the two canopy screws (FF) located in the “L
shaped” slots.
□ Remove and save the two canopy screws (FF) in the round
holes. This will enable you to remove the mounting bracket
(A).
□ Remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (M) from the
canppy (C) by pressing the three studs.
□ Remove three of the six screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)
(every other one) securing the motor collar to the top of the
fan motor housing (F).
□ Place the rubber gasket (AA) over the remaining three screws
and route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor (F)
through the canopy ring (D). Make sure the slot opening is
on top, then proceed to place the ceiling canopy (C) over the
collar at the top of the motor (F).
□ Align the mounting holes with the holes in the motor (F) and
fasten, using the three screws (JJ) and lock washers (KK)
removed previously. Tighten the screws securely.

IMPORTANT: Use the plastic wire connectors (CC) supplied with
your fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure
there are no loose strands or connections.
WARNING: Each wire not supplied with this fan is designed to
accept up to one 12-gauge house wire and two wires from the
fan. If you have larger than 12-gauge house wiring or more
than one house wire to connect to the fan wiring, consult an
electrician for the proper size wire nuts to use.
□ Carefully lift the fan-motor assembly (F) up to the slide-on
mounting bracket (A).
□ Insert the ball portion of the ball/downrod assembly into the
socket of the slide-on mounting bracket.
□ Turn the ball/downrod assembly clockwise until it is seated
with the tab of the slide-on mounting bracket aligned with the
slot in the ball.
□ If using close-to-ceiling mounting, hang the fan on the hook
provided by utilizing one of the round holes at the outer rim of
the ceiling canopy (C).
WARNING: The hook (OO) is only to balance the fan while
making the electrical connections. Failure to hang as shown
may result in the hook (OO) breaking, causing the fan to fall.
The hook must pass from the inside to the outside of the
canopy.
WARNING: When hanging the fan on the hook (OO) it is
critical that you use one of the non-slotted (round) holes in
the canopy (C).
□ The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an extended
ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod
assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your
desired length (no shorter than 12 in.) This will make extra
room in the canopy (C), if you do not wish to cut the wires,
you will need to neatly wrap them.
□ Connect the fan motor green wires to the household green or
bare wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).
□ Connect the fan motor white wire to the household white wire
using a wire connecting nut (CC).
□ Connect the fan motor black and blue wires to the household
black wire using a wire connecting nut (CC).
□ Secure each wire connecting nut using electrical tape.
□ Turn the wire connecting nut (CC) upward and push the wiring
into the outlet box (MM).
NOTE: The fan comes with 30 in. lead wires for use with an
extended ball/downrod assembly. If using the 4.5 in. ball/downrod
assembly (B) provided, you can cut the lead wires to your desired
length (no shorter than 12 in.).
WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of the
fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.

□ Align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two
screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the
slots and turn clockwise to lock in place.
□ Firmly tighten the two mounting screws.
□ Install the two mounting screws (FF) and lock washers (GG)
(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting”) into
the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.

WARNING: When using the standard ball/downrod mounting, the
tab in the ring at the bottom of the mounting bracket must rest in
the groove of the hanger ball. Failure to properly seat the tab in
the groove could cause damage to the wiring.

□ Gently wrap the excess wire around the mounting bracket.
□ Secure with electrical tape.

from the wires coming from the ceiling fan.
WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only
as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended
until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

□ Carefully unhook the fan from the mounting bracket (A) and
align the locking slots of the ceiling canopy (C) with the two
screws in the mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage the
slots and turn clockwise to lock in place. Immediately tighten
the two mounting screws rmly.
□ Install the two mounting screws (FF) and lock washers (GG)
(saved from Assembly Step 1 “Prepairing for mounting” into
the holes in the canopy (C) and tighten rmly.
□ You may now proceed to attaching the fan blades.
WARNING: The locking slots of ceiling canopy are provided only
as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly unattended
until all four canopy screws are engaged and rmly tightened.

WARNING: Remove the rubber motor stops on the bottom of
the fan before installing the blades or testing the motor.
NOTE: Your fan features revolutionary advancements for quick
and easy blade installation, including an alignment post and
captive blade bracket screws.
IMPORTANT: The switch cup has an access hole (ZZ) to allow
the screwdriver to reach the screws in the blade bracket.
Position the blade bracket on the motor and tighten by
inserting the screwdriver through the access hole (ZZ).
□ Fasten the blade brackets (I) to the fan-motor assembly (F) by
inserting the alignment post into the slot on the bottom of the
motor and tightening the pre-installed blade bracket screws
by inserting a screw driver through the access hole (ZZ).
□ Repeat this step for the remaining blade assemblies by
rotating the motor until the next blade bracket screw can be
accessed through the access hole (ZZ) in the switch cup.

□ Mount the fan blades (J) to the blade bracket (I) by aligning
the three key-slot holes in the blade (J) with the three posts
on the top of the blade brackets (I).
□ Hold the blade (J) close to the blade bracket (I) and press
the blade (J) down rmly. Ensure the key-slot holes are
properly seated on the blade arm posts.
□ While still holding the blade (J) down, rmly slide the blade
(J) away from the bracket (I) side until the blade (J) engages
in the locking mechanism (SS).
□ Make sure the locking mechanism (SS) at the rear of the
blade bracket (I) springs upward and butts against the edge
of the blade (J) indicating a secure connection.
□ Visually inspect the top of the blade bracket (I) to ensure the
locking mechanism (SS) is securely in place.
□ Repeat for the remaining blades (J).

□ Remove the three screws (QQ) from the light kit tter
assembly (G).
□ Connect the wires exiting the bottom of the motor assembly
(F) by connecting the molded adaptor plugs together (blue to
blue, and white to white).
□ Slide the light kit (G) and secure it to the switch housing
using the three screws (QQ) that were removed in the rst
step.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, disconnect
the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing the
light kit.

□ Remove the compressing ring (MM) from the threaded socket
of the light kit (G) by turning the compressing ring (MM)
counterclockwise until it unlocks.
□ Insert the glass shade (H) into the light kit cowling and turn
the compressing ring (MM) clockwise to tighten and secure
the glass shade. Repeat for the remaining shades.
□ With power off, screw the LED bulbs (K) into the sockets.
□ Attach the pull chain extensions (BB) to the light pull chain
and fan pull chain.
CAUTION: Make sure the power is off before attaching or
removing the glass shade.
WARNING: Allow the bulb to cool completely before removing.

□ Remove the three light kit mounting screws (QQ) on the side
of switch cup cover (L).
□ Position the switch cup cover (L) onto the switch cup. Make
sure the notch in the switch cup cover (L) clears the reversing
switch in the switch cup of the fan-motor assembly (F), and
reinstall the light kit mounting screws (QQ).

Operation
Turn on the power and check the operation of the fan. The pull
chain controls the fan speeds as follows:
1 pull - High, 2 pulls - Medium, 3 pulls - Low, 4 pulls - off
The appropriate speed settings for warm or cool weather depends
on factors such as the room size, ceiling height, and number of
fans.
The slide switch (XX) controls the direction of the blades:
Forward (switch left) or Reverse (switch right).
A. Warm weather - (Forward) A downward airow creates a cooling
effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner on a warmer setting
without affecting your comfort.
B. Cool weather - (Reverse) An upward airow moves warm air off
of the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on a cooler
setting without affecting your comfort.
NOTE: Wait for the fan to stop before reversing the direction of
blade rotation.

Troubleshooting
Problem Solution
The fan will not start. □ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.
□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.
The fan is noisy. □ Ensure all motor housing screws are snug.
□ Ensure the screws that attach the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight.
□ Ensure the wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing.
□ Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this time.
□ If you are using the Ceiling Fan light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light
bulbs are also secure.
□ Ensure the canopy is a short distance from the ceiling. It should not touch the ceiling.
□ Ensure your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads were used between the mounting plate and outlet box.
The fan wobbles. □ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.
□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a point on the
ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade to the point on the
ceiling. Measure this distance. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for each
blade. Any measurement deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan for ten minutes. If the fan continues to
wobble please contact Customer Service and a balancing kit will be sent to you at no charge.
□ Because of the fan’s natural movement, some connections may become loose. Check the support connections, brackets, and blade
attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure. It is not necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.
□ Clean your fan periodically to help maintain its new appearance over the years. Do not use water when cleaning, as this could damage
the motor, or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock. Use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish. The
plating is sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or tarnishing.
□ You can apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood for additional protection and enhanced beauty. Cover small scratches with a
light application of shoe polish.
□ You do not need to oil your fan. The motor has permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.
WARNING: Make sure the power is off before cleaning
your fan.

1. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de
Electricidad ANSI/NFPA 70 y con los códigos locales. La
instalación eléctrica debe ser realizada por un profesional
calicado y con licencia.
2. La caja eléctrica y estructura de soporte tienen que montarse
de forma segura y ser aptas para sostener de manera
conable 15.9 kg. Usa sólo cajas eléctricas aprobadas por UL y
marcadas como “apropiada para sostener ventiladores de 15.9
kg o menos”.
3. El ventilador tiene que montarse con un mínimo de 2.1 m de
separación entre el borde de bajada de las aspas y el piso.
4. No muevas el interruptor de reversa mientras las aspas
del ventilador estén en movimiento. Tienes que apagar el
ventilador y esperar que se detengan las aspas antes de
invertir su sentido de rotación.
5. No coloques objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.
6. Los diagramas eléctricos son solo para referencia. Los juegos
de luces no incluidos con el ventilador tienen que estar
aprobados por UL y marcados como apropiados para usar con
el modelo de ventilador a instalar. Los interruptores tienen
que estar clasicados por UL como de uso general. Para
ensamblar bien, consulta las instrucciones adjuntas a los kits
de luces e interruptores. Usa bombillas de 9.5 W como máximo
(incluidas).
7. Después de concluir las conexiones eléctricas, debes voltear
los conductores empalmados hacia arriba y meterlos con
cuidado en la caja eléctrica. Los cables deben estar separados
con el cable a tierra y el conductor a tierra del equipo hacia
uno de los lados de la caja eléctrica.
8. Todos los tornillos de jación tienen que comprobarse y
reajustarse donde sea necesario antes de la instalación.
9. El ventilador es sólo para usar en interiores.
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales,
no dobles los soportes de las aspas (también llamados
“bridas”) durante el ensamblaje ni después de la instalación.
No coloques objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.

OPCIONES DE MONTAJE
ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, descarga
eléctrica o lesiones personales, instala solo en una caja
eléctrica clasicada como “apropiada para sostener
ventiladores de 35 lb (15.9 Kg) o menos” y usa los tornillos
que vienen con ella. Las cajas eléctricas utilizadas
comúnmente para el soporte de lámparas pueden no servir
como soporte de ventilador y tal vez deban reemplazarse.
En caso de duda, consulta a un electricista calicado.
Si tu ventilador de techo no tiene una caja de montaje aprobada
por UL, instala una de acuerdo con las siguientes instrucciones:
□ Desconecta la energía eléctrica retirando los fusibles o
apagando los cortacircuitos.
□ Asegura la caja eléctrica directamente a la estructura de la
edicación. Usa los sujetadores y materiales apropiados.
La caja eléctrica y su soporte tienen que ser aptos para
sostener el peso completo del ventilador en movimiento
(al menos 15.9 kg). No uses una caja eléctrica de plástico.
Las ilustraciones más abajo muestran tres formas distintas de
montar la caja eléctrica.
Si la cubierta toca el tubo bajante, retira la tapa inferior de la cubierta y
gira la cubierta 180º antes de jarla a la placa de montaje.
Para colgar el ventilador donde hay una lámpara, pero ninguna viga de
techo, tal vez necesites una barra colgante como se mostró más arriba
(disponible en cualquier tienda de The Home Depot).
NOTA: Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo para
mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas al instalar
el ventilador en un techo inclinado. El ángulo máximo
permitido es 30º desde la horizontal.

□ Aoja, sin quitarlos, los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del
collarín (TT) ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa del
motor.
□ Alinea los oricios en la parte inferior del tubo bajante (B)
con los oricios en el collarín (TT) de la parte superior de la
carcasa de motor.
□ Inserta con cuidado el pasador de soporte (DD) a través de los
oricios del collarín (TT) y del tubo bajante (B). Ten cuidado de
no forzar el pasador de soporte (DD) contra el cableado dentro
del tubo bajante (B).
□ Inserta el pasador de cierre (EE) en el oricio cercano al
extremo del pasador de soporte (DD) hasta encajarlo en su
posición.
□ Vuelve a apretar los dos tornillos de jación (RR) del collarín (TT)
ubicados en la parte superior de la carcasa del motor.
□ Retira de la cubierta (C) su aro (D) girándolo a la izquierda
hasta desbloquearlo.
□ Retira el soporte de montaje (A) de la cubierta (C) aojando
los dos tornillos de esta (FF) ubicados en las ranuras en
forma de “L”.
□ Quita y guarda los dos tornillos de la cubierta (FF) y las
arandelas de seguridad (GG) en los oricios redondos.
Esto te permitirá retirar el soporte de montaje (A).
□ Inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del
motor del ventilador (F) a través de la cubierta del
acoplador (E) y del aro de la cubierta (D).
□ Asegúrate de que las ranuras estén en la parte superior
y pasa los cables a través de la cubierta (C) y
enseguida a través del conjunto del tubo bajante/bola (B).

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 voltios a través del oricio
central en el soporte de montaje (A).
□ Instala el soporte de montaje en techo sobre la caja eléctrica
deslizando el soporte (A) sobre los dos tornillos (LL) incluidos
con la caja eléctrica. Si es necesario, usa arandelas niveladoras
(no incluidas) entre el soporte de montaje (A) y la caja eléctrica.
Fíjate que el lado plano del soporte de montaje (A) apunte hacia
la caja eléctrica. Cuando uses el montaje cerca del techo, es
importante que el soporte de montaje esté nivelado.
□ Ajusta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje (LL).

□ Retira tres de los seis tornillos (JJ) y arandelas de

la parte superior de la carcasa del motor del ventilador (F).
□ Coloca la junta de goma (AA) sobre los otros tres tornillos e
inserta los cables que salen por la parte superior del motor
de ventilador (F) a través del aro de la cubierta (D). Asegúrate
de que la abertura de ranura esté hacia arriba y procede

IMPORTANTE: Usa los conectores de cables plásticos (CC) incluidos
con tu ventilador. Sujeta los conectores con cinta de electricista y
asegura que no haya conexiones ni cables sueltos.
ADVERTENCIA: Cada cable no suministrado con este ventilador está
diseñado para aceptar hasta un cable eléctrico doméstico calibre
12 y dos cables del ventilador. Si tienes un cableado doméstico de
calibre superior a 12 o más de un cable doméstico para conectar al
cableado del ventilador, consulta a un electricista sobre el tamaño
adecuado de las tuercas a usar para los cables.
□ Con cuidado, levanta el conjunto del motor del ventilador (F)
hasta el soporte de montaje deslizante (A).
□ Inserta la bola de soporte del conjunto del tubo bajante/bola en
el casquillo del soporte de montaje deslizante.
□ Gira el conjunto del tubo bajante/bola a la derecha hasta
encajarlo con la pestaña del soporte de montaje deslizante
alineada con la ranura de la bola.
□ Si usas el montaje "cerca del techo (cielo raso)", cuelga el
ventilador del gancho suministrado, usando uno de los oricios
redondos en el borde exterior de la cubierta de techo (C).
ADVERTENCIA: El gancho (OO) debe usarse solo para sostener
el ventilador mientras se hacen las conexiones eléctricas. Si no
se cuelga como se muestra puede romperse el gancho (OO) y el
ventilador se caerá. El gancho debe pasar de dentro hacia fuera
de la cubierta.
ADVERTENCIA: Al colgar el ventilador en el gancho (OO), es
decisivo que uses uno de los oricios sin ranura (redondos) de
la cubierta (C).
□ El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 76.2 cm para usar
con un conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el
conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm (incluido),
puedes recortar los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos
de 30.5 cm). Esto dejará más espacio en la cubierta (C). Si no
quieres cortar los cables, deberás enrollarlos cuidadosamente.
□ Conecta los cables verdes del motor del ventilador a los cables
verde o pelado del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de
cables (CC).
□ Conecta el cable blanco del motor del ventilador al cable blanco
del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).
□ Conecta los cables negro o azul del motor del ventilador al cable
negro del hogar usando una tuerca de conexión de cables (CC).
□ Asegura cada tuerca de conexión de cables con cinta de
electricista.
□ Gira la tuerca de conexión de cables (CC) hacia arriba y coloca el
cableado dentro de la caja eléctrica (MM).
NOTA: El ventilador viene con cables terminales de 76.2 cm para usar
con el conjunto extendido de tubo bajante/bola. Si usas el conjunto
extendido de tubo bajante/bola (B) de 11.4 cm incluido, puedes
recortar los cables terminales al largo deseado (no menos de 30.5 cm).

□ Alinea las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta de techo (C) con los
dos tornillos del soporte de montaje (A). Alza para enganchar las
ranuras y gira hacia la derecha para asegurarlas en su sitio.
□ Aprieta rmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.
□ Instala los dos tornillos de montaje (FF) y las arandelas de
seguridad (GG) (guardados en el paso 1 del ensamblaje, “Cómo

ADVERTENCIA: Cuando uses el montaje estándar del tubo bajante/
bola, la pestaña en el aro en la parte inferior del soporte de montaje
tiene que encajar en la ranura de la bola de soporte. Si la pestaña no

Cómo jar los soportes de las aspas

ADVERTENCIA: Quita los tapones de goma del motor, en la
parte inferior del ventilador, antes de instalar las aspas o comprobar
el motor.
NOTA: Tu ventilador cuenta con avances novedosos para facilitar y
acelerar la instalación de las aspas, incluyendo un poste de alineación
y tornillos jos para el soporte de las aspas.
□ Apriete los supportes de aspa (I) a el montaje de el motor (F)
insertando el poste de alineacion en el espacio en la parte inferior
de el motor y apriete los tornios pre-installados de el suporte
insertando un destornillador en el hueco de acceso (ZZ).
□ Repite los pasos para las aspas que faltan girando el motor hasta
que el proximo tornillo se puede pasar por el hueco de acceso (ZZ)
en la caja del interruptor .
IMPORTANTE: La caja del interruptor tiene un hueco de acceso
(ZZ) para dejar que el destornillador alcanze el tornillo adrentro
de el soporte de la aspa. Coloque el soporte en el motor y apriete
insertando el destorniador en el hueco de acceso (ZZ).

□ Monta las aspas del ventilador (J) a los soportes de ellas (I)
alineando los tres oricios tipo ojo de cerradura en el aspa (J)
con los tres postes de la parte superior de los soportes (I).
□ Sostén el aspa (J) cerca de su soporte (I) y presiona aquella (J)
hacia abajo con rmeza. Asegúrate de que los oricios tipo ojo
de cerradura estén correctamente asentados sobre los postes
del brazo del aspa.
□ Mientras sujetas el aspa (J) hacia abajo, deslízala (J) con
rmeza hacia el lado opuesto del soporte (I) hasta que el aspa
(J) se acople al mecanismo de cierre (SS).
□ Asegúrate de que el mecanismo de cierre (SS) en la parte
posterior del soporte del aspa (I) se eleve y tope contra el
borde del aspa (J) para indicar una conexión segura.
□ Revisa la parte superior del soporte del aspa (I) para
garantizar que el mecanismo de cierre (SS) esté asegurado
en su lugar.
□ Repite el procedimiento para las aspas restantes (J).
NOTA: Tu ventilador cuenta con avances novedosos

□ Desliza el ensamblaje del kit de luces (G) y asegúralo a la caja
del interruptor usando los tres tornillos (QQ) que se quitaron

□ Retira el anillo de presión (MM) del portabombilla roscado del
kit de luces (G) girando el anillo (MM) hacia la izquierda hasta

□ Con la corriente desconectada, instala las bombillas LED (K) en
los portabombillas.
□ Instala las extensiones de la cadena para halar (BB), que se
incluyen, a las cadenas de las luces y del ventilador.
PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrate de que la corriente esté cortada
antes de montar o retirar la pantalla de vidrio.
ADVERTENCIA: Espera a que las bombillas se enfríen
completamente antes de cambiarlas.

□ Quita los tres tornillos de montaje del kit de luces (QQ) del
lado de la cubierta de la caja del interruptor (L).
□ Coloca la cubierta de la caja del interruptor (L) sobre la caja
del interruptor. Asegúrate de que la muesca en la cubierta
de la caja del interruptor (L) permita que el interruptor de
reversa en la caja correspondiente del conjunto del motor
del ventilador (F) se mueva libremente, y vuelve a instalar los
tornillos de montaje del kit de luces (QQ).

Funcionamiento
Enciende la electricidad y verica el funcionamiento del ventilador.
El interruptor de cadena controla las velocidades del ventilador de la
siguiente manera:
1 vez: alta, 2 veces: media, 3: baja y 4: apagado.
Las conguraciones de velocidad apropiadas para clima cálido o frío
dependen de factores como el tamaño de la habitación, la altura del techo
y la cantidad de ventiladores.
El interruptor deslizante (XX) controla la dirección de las aspas:
Hacia adelante (cambiar a la izquierda) o en reversa (cambiar a la derecha).
A. Clima cálido - (Hacia adelante) Un ujo de aire descendente surte un
efecto refrescante. Esto te permite jar tu aire acondicionado en una
conguración de temperatura más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.
B. Clima frío - (Reversa) Un ujo de aire hacia arriba desplaza el aire
cálido lejos del cielo raso. Esto te permite congurar la unidad de
calefacción más baja sin afectar tu comodidad.
NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de invertir el
sentido de giro de las aspas.

El ventilador no
enciende.
□ Verica los fusibles o cortacircuitos principales y secundarios.
□ Verica las conexiones de cables en línea tanto con el ventilador como en el interruptor en la caja correspondiente.
El ventilador hace
ruido.
□ Asegura que todos los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.
□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el soporte de aspa al cuerpo del motor estén bien apretados.
□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras ni con la pared interior de la caja
del interruptor.
□ Espera que transcurra un período de “adaptación” de 24 horas. En ese período desaparecen la mayoría de los
ruidos asociados a un ventilador nuevo.
□ Si usas el kit de luces de ventilador de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén bien
apretados. Verica que también las bombillas estén bien ajustadas.
□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debe tocar el techo.
□ Asegura que la caja eléctrica quede bien ajustada y que las almohadillas aislantes de goma se hayan instalado
entre la placa de montaje y la caja eléctrica.
El ventilador oscila. □ Verica que todas las aspas y los tornillos de sus brazos estén bien ajustados.
□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están al mismo nivel.
Verica este nivel seleccionando un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas. Mide desde un punto
en el centro de cada aspa al punto en el cielo raso. Mide esta distancia. Gira el ventilador hasta que la siguiente
aspa quede bien colocada para medir. Repite el procedimiento para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de medición no
deben pasar de 0.3 cm (1/8 plg). Enciende el ventilador durante diez minutos. Si el ventilador continúa oscilando,
comunícate con el servicio al cliente y te enviarán un kit de compensación de aspas, sin costo alguno.
□ Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas conexiones pueden aojarse. Revisa dos veces al año las conexiones de soporte,
los soportes y los accesorios de las aspas. Comprueba que estén seguros. No es necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.
□ Limpia el ventilador con frecuencia para que luzca como nuevo al paso de los años. No uses agua al limpiar. Esto puede dañar el motor
o la madera e incluso provocar descarga eléctrica. Usa sólo un cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el acabado.
El revestimiento está sellado con laca para minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.
□ Puedes aplicar a la madera una na capa de pulimento para muebles y asegurar así mayor protección y superior belleza. Cubre los
arañazos pequeños con una ligera aplicación de lustrador para calzado.
□ No necesitas lubricar el ventilador. El motor tiene cojinetes de bola sellados y permanentemente lubricados.
ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la electricidad esté
apagada antes de limpiar el ventilador.
