INSTALLATION
This fridge is designed for freestanding installation in a dry, well-ventilated
room.
WARNING: placing beverages up against the back panel of the fridge could
cause cans or bottles to rupture due to excessively low temperatures.
Always allow room for air circulation between the back panel and any
drinks.
WARNING: Do not store or install the appliance outdoors.
CAUTION: This appliance is designed for storing and cooling beverages or
wines. Do not store perishable food, medicine or other medical products.
Do not overcrowd the inside of the fridge.
Place your appliance on a hard and level floor that is strong enough to
support it when it is fully loaded.
To level your appliance, adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the
appliance if needed.
Allow at least 5 inches (127mm) of space between the back and sides of the
appliance, for proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
Do not install the appliance on carpet.
Do not install the appliance near an oven or other heating source. Direct
sunlight may affect the acrylic coating, and heat sources may increase
electrical consumption. For best performance, do not install the appliance
behind a cabinet door or under a countertop.
Avoid extremely hot or cold ambient temperatures, as they may cause the
fridge to perform poorly. Install only in areas with ambient temperatures
between 60°F and 90°F
Avoid placing the fridge in an area where it may be exposed to water or
excess moisture.
Plug the fridge into its own grounded wall outlet. Do not, under any
circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed
toward a qualified electrician or customer service.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
WARNING: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical
shock. If the power cord is damaged, do not use the appliance. Contact NewAir
customer service immediately.
This fridge requires a standard 115/120 Volt AC ~/60Hz electrical
ground outlet with a three-prong power plug.
Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified electrician to
ensure the outlet is properly grounded. The cord should be secured
behind the appliance and not left exposed or dangling to prevent
accidental injury.
The fridge should always be plugged into its own individual electrical
outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating label on the
appliance. This provides the best performance, and it also prevents
overloading house wiring circuits that could cause a fire hazard from
being overheated.
Never unplug the appliance by pulling the power cord. Always grip the
plug firmly and pull straight out from the receptacle.
Do not use this fridge via an extension cord.

HOW TO USE THE FLIPSHELF SHELVES
This beverage fridge comes with 3 adjustable flip shelves that allow you to
optimally store all types of beverages. The shelves come with two sides: a flat
side for beer or beverages and a wine side for standard and large wine or
champagne bottles. To flip a shelf, follow these instructions:
1. Press down on the front of a shelf until the back of the shelf releases
from the security nook and raises upwards, then pull the shelf out.

bottles from rolling around and knocking over the other beverages in your
beverage fridge.

OPTIMIZING PERFORMANCE
To ensure maximum performance and efficiency, be sure to place your
beverage cooler in an area where there is proper air circulation. (See
installation instructions above for proper clearances.)
For proper internal air circulation, do not overfill your beverage cooler.
When storing beverages, keep them away from the rear wall. To allow free
circulation of cold air, don’t pack beverages too tightly on the shelves.
Do not place the unit in direct sunlight.
Do not place heated beverages or food in your cooler.
Do not store perishable food in your beverage cooler. The unit’s interior
temperature may not be low enough to prevent spoilage.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the beverage cooler.
Allow at least 5 inches (127mm) of space between the back and sides of the
appliance, for proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
FRIDGE NOISES
The following noises are normal and occur from time to time:
Gurgling sound, caused by the refrigerant flowing through the appliance's
coils.
Humming noise made by the compressor. This noise can get louder for brief
periods when the motor is switching on
Cracking/popping sounds, resulting from the materials contraction and
expansion due to temperature variations
Internal fan rotation, to circulate the air within the refrigerator cabinet
If you are hearing a noise that doesn’t seem to fall under the list above, or
seems abnormal, your unit may be installed improperly, or may be faulty.
Contact customer service immediately if you hear any noises that cause you
concern.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
DEFROSTING YOUR FRIDGE
In cold ambient temperatures and/or high humidity, frost may accumulate inside
the beverage fridge. Excessive frost might reduce the efficiency of the fridge.
Take steps below to defrost your refrigerator:
1. Unplug the beverage fridge.
2. Allow the frost inside the cooler to melt. If needed, use a plastic utensil
to scrape ice from the interior surface.
3. Remove the Drip Tray that is on top of the compressor and pour out any
water that is in the Drip Tray.
4. Dry thoroughly before plugging it in again.
CLEANING YOUR FRIDGE
Unplug from power and remove all items, including shelves.
Wipe the interior with warm water and baking soda solution. The solution
should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to one quart of water.
Wipe down the shelves with a mild detergent solution.
Wipe down the outside of the fridge with warm water and mild liquid
detergent.
Do not use steel wool or a steel brush on stainless steel. These will erode
the stainless steel and cause it to rust.
CAUTION: Failure to unplug the appliance before cleaning could result in electric
shock or personal injury.
MOVING YOUR FRIDGE
Remove all items from inside the appliance.
Leave the door open until the unit is completely dry inside. Place a towel at
the bottom of the inside of the unit to prevent leakage onto the floor.
Securely tape down shelves inside the unit, and tape the door shut.
Turn the adjustable legs up into the base to avoid damaging them.
Keep it upright throughout all transportation.

PREPARING FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE
If the fridge will not be used for a long time, it will be necessary to defrost the
unit and completely dry the interior.
1. Disconnect the fridge from the power supply by removing the plug from the
wall socket.
WARNING: Do not touch the plug when your hands are wet. Never unplug
the unit by pulling the cord.
2. Leave the door open until the unit is completely dry inside. Place a towel at
the bottom of the inside of the unit to prevent leakage onto the floor.
CAUTION: Store the unit out of the reach of children. If you have children,
you may want to take additional precautions such as removing the door.

WINE STORAGE GUIDE
The ideal temperature for storing red or white wines is 55°F, with humidity
between 60% and 75% RH.
Store corked bottles on their sides, to keep the cork from drying out and
allowing air into the bottle.
UV rays make wine age faster, so keep bottles out of direct sunlight.
Avoid heavy vibrations from motors, etc.
Store wine separately from strong odors that might contaminate the flavor
of the wine.
How long should I store my wine?
While most wines today are meant to be drunk “young” (within a few years of
production) some fine wines are best served by proper aging. But aging too
long can decrease the flavor of the wine. Generally speaking, red wines can age
longer than white wines, but here is a storage guide for some popular vintages.
