OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare rivet hole
Hole size can be important in blind riveting. Too small a hole will, of course, make rivet
insertion difficult. Too large a hole will reduce the shear and tensile strengths. It may
also cause bulging or separation of the members by allowing the rivet to expand
between them instead of only on the blind side. (Best practice is to follow the hole size
recommendations provided).
Please refer to below table for the recommended drill hole size against rivet nozzle size
Note: Avoid burrs in and around the holes.
For better understanding, take 4.8 mm (3/16”) nozzle for example, below are the key
dimensions your reference
2. Insert rivet: Open the riveter handle to its maximum position, insert correct size rivet
into the rivet nozzle, Squeeze rivet handle a little so that it holds the rivet. Insert the
rivet pin into the hole.

takes 2-5 times squeeze until the rivet mandrel broken.
