o mode even if the computer is turned o.
• Depending on the type of hub used, the printer may not enter the system o mode even if the
computer is turned o.
Precautions regarding USB connections
1) Depending on the settings and congurations, the printer may not operate correctly with some
computers even if they meet the conditions for the connection environment. In addition, operation
is not guaranteed for connections through a USB hub or USB extension board, or for home-built
or modied computers.
2) Connect the USB cable directly to the computer’s USB port. If the printer is connected through a
USB hub or other device, the printer may not operate correctly.
3) is printer requires an electrical current of 100 mA/USB port or more for a given length of time
during operations, such as startup. If the electrical current is less than 100 mA, the following de-
vices may malfunction.

3-4-2. Turning Power O (System O Mode)
ere are two ways to turn o the power.
1) Turning power o manually
Disconnect the USB cable.
When the sleep switch is available, you can also turn o
the power by setting the sleep switch to Sleep.
2) Turning power o automatically
Turn o the computer. e printer also turns o when the
computer enters stand-by or hibernates.
In this status, the printer is receiving a minute amount of
power and is still operating. To turn o the power completely,
disconnect the USB cable and the power cable.
