Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that the
unit is intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
DO NOT use this product with a programmer, timer, separate
remote-control system or any other device.
Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds
with that of the local network before connecting the appliance
to the mains power supply.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
Close supervision is required when using this appliance near
children.
Never leave this appliance within reach of children
Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless
continuously supervised.

Description of parts
Before first use of your Desk Fan
Remove all packing materials and discard responsibly.
Ensure all parts are present – see Description of parts above.
Check that there is no damage to the mains cable or product.
Assembling your Desk Fan
1. Remove the 4 screws from the front of the Motor Housing
(9) as shown right.
2. Attach the Rear Guard (8) to the Motor Housing (9),
ensuring that the 4 holes on the Rear Guard (8) align with
the 4 holes on the Motor Housing (9). Fix into place using
the screws removed above, take care not to overtighten.
Ensure that the carry handle on the Rear Guard (8) is
upright when fixing into place.
3. Remove the protective sleeving from the motor spindle
and slacken the blade retaining screw on the Fan Blade
(2).
4. Place the Fan Blade (2) over the motor spindle and tighten the
blade retaining screw.
5. Remove the Front Guard Nut & Screw
(4) from the Front Guard (1).
6. Turn the four clips around the outer
edge of the Front Guard (1) outwards.

7. Hang the Front Guard (1) over the top of the Rear Guard (8) Fig.1 and push the
clips inwards until the Front Guard (1) is fastened to the Rear Guard (8) as per
Fig. 2 below.

8. Fit the Front Guard Nut & Screw (4), ensuring that the screw goes through both
the Front Guard (1) and the Rear Guard (8), tighten the nut to fix into place as
per Fig. 3 above.
Using your Desk Fan
1. Place the fan on a stable, level surface.
2. If desired the fan can be adjusted. To adjust the direction of
airflow, slacken the Pivot Adjustment Screw (3) and adjust the
Motor Housing (9) up or down accordingly. When desired position
has been achieved tighten the Pivot Adjustment Screw (3) to fix
into place.
3. Ensure that the Rotary Switch (7) is in the ‘0’ position, to ensure
that the fan is in the off mode.
4. Insert the mains plug into the nearest available socket.
5. Adjust the Rotary Switch (7) to the desired speed setting from;
Position I for Low Speed
Position II for Medium Speed
Position III for High Speed
Making your Fan oscillate from side to side
Press the Oscillation Control (6) down to allow your fan to oscillate.
Pull the Oscillation Control (6) up to stop oscillation
Never adjust the fan whilst connected to the mains and/or
switched on.

Care and Use of your Fan
Ensure that the fan is switched off and it is not connected to the
mains supply before cleaning.
Wipe the fan body clean with a clean, soft damp cloth.
Do not immerse the fan or its cord in water or any other liquid.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician who will be pleased to do this for you. If you need to remove the plug -
DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS - and then cut it off the mains lead and
immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.
