Description of Parts
Assembling your Desk Fan
1. Right: Remove any protective sleeving (arrowed
if fitted) from the Motor Spindle (9) and discard
responsibly.
2. Remove the four Rear Guard Fixing Screws (11) from
the front of the Motor Housing (8).
3. Attach the Rear Guard (10) to the Motor
Housing (8) using the four screws removed.
Ensure the carry handle on the Rear Guard (10) is uppermost.
4. Left: Push the Acrylic Fan Blade (12) over the
Motor Spindle (9) ensuring that the spline in
the spindle aligns with the notch (arrowed left)
in the fan blade as it is pushed onto the spindle.
5. Right: Screw on the Fan Blade Retaining Nut (13
arrowed right) and tighten.
NB the Fan Blade Retaining Nut (13) is reverse
threaded, i.e. it screws on anticlockwise.

6. Remove the small Guard Safety Nut & Screw (15) from the Front Guard (14).
7. Right: Turn the clips around the outer edge of
the Front Guard (14) outwards.
8. Left: Hang the Front Guard (14) by its hook
over the top of the Rear Guard (10).
9. Right: Bring the Front Guard (14) down to
meet the Rear Guard (10) and push the guard
clips inwards until the Front Guard (14) is
fastened to the Rear Guard (10).
10. Left: Finally fit the Guard Safety Nut and
Screw (15) through the holes in the bottom
edge of the guard and tighten with a
suitable pozidrive screwdriver (not
supplied).
Adjusting Your Desk Fan
1. Place the fan on a stable, level surface.
2. To adjust the direction of airflow, slacken the Pivot Screw (3) and adjust the
Motor Housing (8) up or down. Tighten the Pivot Screw (3) to fix the fan into
place once the fan is in the desired position.
NOTE the Pivot Stop Screw (4) should be just slack enough to allow the fan to
move but tight enough to limit the back forth travel of the fan.
Setting the Fan Speed
1. Ensure that the On/Off/Speed Control (6) is in the ‘0’
position.
2. Insert the mains plug into the nearest available socket.
3. Adjust the On/Off/Speed Control (6) to select from:
Position I for Low Speed
Position II for Medium Speed
Position III for High Speed

Oscillation Mode
Press the Oscillation Control (7) down to enable the fan to
oscillate from side to side.
Pull the control up to stop the fan oscillating.
Care and Maintenance of Your Fan
Ensure that the fan is switched off and it is not connected to
the mains supply before cleaning.
Wipe the fan body clean with a clean, soft damp cloth.
Do not immerse the fan or its cord in water or any other liquid.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable plug fitted to the mains lead
and should the fuse needed replacing, you must use an ASTA approved one
(conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating). If in doubt, consult a qualified
electrician who will pleased to do this for you. If you need to remove the plug -
DISCONNECT FROM THE MAINS - and then cut it off the mains lead an
immediately dispose of it safely. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a danger of electric shock.
