Setuprulesforevents

Youcancreaterulestomakeyourdeviceperformanactionwhencertaineventsoccur.Aruleconsistsofconditionsandactions.

Theconditionscanbeusedtotriggertheactions.Forexample,thedevicecanstartarecordingorsendanemailwhenitdetects

motion,orshowanoverlaytextwhilethedeviceisrecording.

Sendanemailifthecameracasingisopened

Thisexampleshowshowtosetupanevent,thatsendsanemailnotication,ifthecameracasingisopened.

Addanemailrecipient:

1.GotoSystem>Eventsandaddarecipient.

2.Enteranamefortherecipient.

3.Inthelistofdifferentrecipienttypes,selectEmail.

4.Entertheemailaddressthatyouwanttosendtheemailsto.

5.Entertheemailaddressandallotherrequiredinformationfortheserveryouwanttosendtheemailsfrom.

6.ClickSave.

Createtherule:

1.GotoSystem>Eventsandaddarule.

2.Enteranamefortherule.

3.Inthelistofconditions,underDevicestatus,selectCasingopen.

4.Inthelistofactions,underNotications,selectSendnoticationtoemail.

5.Inthelistofrecipients,selecttherecipientyoucreated.

6.EnteraSubjectandaMessageforyouremail.

7.ClickSave.

Triggeranaction

1.GotoSystem>Eventsandaddarule.Theruledeneswhenthedevicewillperformcertainactions.Youcanset

uprulesasscheduled,recurring,ormanuallytriggered.

2.EnteraName.

3.SelecttheConditionthatmustbemettotriggertheaction.Ifyouspecifymorethanoneconditionfortherule,allofthe

conditionsmustbemettotriggertheaction.

4.SelectwhichActionthedeviceshouldperformwhentheconditionsaremet.

Note

Ifyoumakechangestoanactiverule,therulemustbeturnedonagainforthechangestotakeeffect.

Recordvideowhenthecameradetectsanobject

ThisexampleexplainshowtosetupthecameratostartrecordingtotheSDcardvesecondsbeforeitdetectsanobjectandto

stoponeminuteafter.
