TomodifyaDTMFconguration:

1.GotoSetup>VoIP>DTMFSettings.

2.ClickModifyDTMFCongurationforSIPAccount

3.SelectthedesiredDTMFprotocol(s),seeDTMFCongurationPropertiesonpage35.

4.SelecttheDTMFsequence(s)tobeassociatedwiththeDTMFconguration.

5.ClickOK.

DTMFCongurationProperties

•DTMFusingSIPINFO(RFC2976)–TheDTMFattributesaresentinaSessionInitiationProtocol(SIP)messageaccording

totheRFC2976standard.

•DTMFusingRTPINFO(RFC2833)–ADTMFeventissentwiththeReal-timeTransportProtocol(RTP)streamaccording

totheRFC2833standard.

BothSIPINFOandRTPareout-of-bandmethods,meaningthattheDTMFpacketissentinadedicatedchannel,separatedfrom

theoneusedforthevoicecall.Digitalout-of-bandpackets,asopposedtoanalogin-bandtonesignals,cannotbeheardbythe

callersandareresistanttofalsing.

CreateandeditDTMFSequences

TheDTMFsequenceslistshowsalltheavailableDTMFsequences.

TocreateanewDTMFsequence:

1.GotoSetup>VoIP>DTMFSettings.

2.ClickModifyDTMFCongurationforSIPAccount

3.ClickAdd.

4.Enteraname.SeeDTMFSequencePropertiesonpage35.

5.Enterthesequence.SeeDTMFSequencePropertiesonpage35.

6.ClickOK.

ToeditaDTMFsequence,selecttheiteminthesequencelistandclickModify.

ToremoveaDTMFsequence,selecttheiteminthesequencelistandclickRemove.

DTMFSequenceProperties

•Name(required)–Enteraname.Thiscouldbeadescriptivenameorthecharactersofthesequence.TheDTMF

sequencecanbeusedtotriggeranaction.Whencreatinganactionrule,thenameoftheDTMFsequencewillappear

inthetriggerlist.

•Sequence(required)–EnteravalidDTMFsequence.

-Allowedcharacters:0–9,A–D,*,#.
