How to adjust the European adjustable hinges on doors
Shipping may cause doors to go out of alignment. If you find that the doors need to be adjusted
slightly, turn the appropriate screw as illustrated.

IMPORTANT
Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-
abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 4 and 5 of this instruction manual.
NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED
OFF WITH DAMP CLOTH.
Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet IF NECESSARY.
CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION
HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS
1. Screw Cam Bolt into the pre-drilled small holes on panel. Connect both panels together; making
sure Cam Bolt goes into pre-drilled hole on the end of panel with Cam Lock.
2. Insert Cam Lock into pre-drilled large hole on panel. Make sure arrow on Cam Lock is pointed toward
Cam Bolt.
3. Once Cam Bolt is connected inside Cam Lock, take a Phillips screwdriver and tighten Cam Lock
clockwise.
4. Plug Cam Cap into the cross slot of the Cam Locks to conceal the cam.
You are now ready to assemble the KD unit.

Assembly Instructions
1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts. Assemble the unit on a
carpeted floor or the empty carton to avoid any scratch.
2. Screw two Floor Levelers (13) into the installed triangle metal plates on the Bottom Panel (B) and set to
the correct height.
3. Attach six Floor Protectors (12) onto the bottom of the Bottom Panel (B) as shown. Gently tap the Floor
Protectors with a rubber mallet to ensure they are fully seated.

4. Securely screw the Cam Bolts (2) into the designated small holes on the Top and Bottom Panels (A and
B) and Middle Stiles (H) using a Phillips screwdriver, as shown in the illustration.

5. Insert two Wood Dowels (3) into the inner holes of the Left Partition Panel (D). Tap it in with a rubber
mallet, if necessary. Make sure that you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all dowels.
6. Align the drilled holes on one Middle Stile (H) with the inserted Wood Dowels (3) on the Left Partition
Panel (D), and then press them together. Attach the Middle Stile (H) in place by engaging two Cam
Locks (1) (Refer to page 3 on Cam Lock system operation supplement).
7. Repeat the same procedure to combine the other Middle Stile (H) with the Right Partition Panel (E).

14. Using the pilot holes as a guide, fasten two Straight Metal Brackets (9) at the joints between the Middle
Crossbar (G) and the Middle Stiles (H) with two 15 mm Flat Head Screws (6) per bracket.

17. Insert four Shelf Supports (7) into the holes at your desired height inside each side compartment. Tilt
and rest the Adjustable Shelves (I) onto the Shelf Supports (7).

cams.
19. Plug the Cam Lock Covers (14) onto the visible cam locks on the Partition Panels (D and E) to conceal

20. Remove the bolts in Handles (11), then use the bolts to attach the Handles to the outside of Doors (F).

21. Pick up one Door (F) and attach the extended Hinge Arms to the Hinge Bases installed on one Side Panel
(C). Loosen the bolt on the back of Hinge Base for an easy fit. Align and insert the “U” slot on Hinge Arm
under the bolt head on the back of Hinge Base. Make sure that both door hinges engage and function
properly. Tighten the bolt on the Hinge Base to lock the hinges in place.
22. Repeat the same procedure to attach the other Door (F) to the other Side Panel (C).
23. Open and close the doors to make sure they are aligned and shut correctly. If necessary, adjust the screws
for a good fit. Refer to the hinge sticker on door for adjustment.

24. Unpack the fireplace insert from the inner box and follow the separated instructions for the electric
fireplace insert to install the decorative glass into the media tray.
25. Lift the fireplace insert carefully into the back of the assembled mantel and center it in the opening.
DO NOT drag the insert across the Bottom Panel (B) as it may scratch the unit.

(B) by screwing one Washer Head Screw (5) in each.

NOTE: You must install the Strip Stopper to prevent the TV from tipping when placing your flat panel
television directly on the console.
27. Remove the paper backing from the Stop Rail (K), then properly align the Stop Rail with the top edge of the
stopper template on the Top Panel (A). Press down on the Stop Rail to help adhesion.
28. Carefully remove the stopper template from the Top Panel (A).

Assembly Instructions
Tools required: Phillips screwdriver, Power Drill, 3/8” Drill Bit and Rubber Mallet.
29. Ask for assistance to position the assembled fireplace at the desired location against a wall. If necessary,
adjust the pre-attached Floor Levelers at the bottom of the Fireplace to level the unit. Now, follow the
instructions printed on the plastic bag containing the Tipping Restraint Hardware to attach the tip-over
restraints to the unit and the wall.
NOTE: Young children can be seriously injured by tipping furniture. You must install the Tipping
Restraint Hardware with the unit to prevent the unit from tipping, causing any accidents or damage. The
tipping restraint is intended only as a deterrent, they are not a substitute for proper adult supervision.
The tipping restraint is not an earthquake restraint. If you wish to add the extra security of earthquake
restraints, they must be purchased and installed separately.
30. Connect the fireplace to the power transformer. Follow the operating manual for the electric fireplace
insert to control your fireplace.

Care and Maintenance
Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.
Use of furniture polish is not necessary. Should you choose to use polish, test first in an inconspicuous area.
Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’s finish.
Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish.
Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots.
Liquid spills should be removed immediately. Using a soft, clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbing.
Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create
spotting within the furniture finish.
In the event that your furniture is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a
professional to repair your furniture.
Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.
Further Advice about Wood Furniture Care
It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity
changes can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from
direct sunlight as sun may damage the finish.
Proper care and cleaning at home will extend the life of your purchase. Following these important and helpful
tips will enhance your furniture as it ages.
Cleaning Trim for Fireplace
Clean the metal trim using a soft cloth, slightly dampened with citrus oil based product and buff with a clean
soft cloth. DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage the metal trim. Citrus
oil based products can be obtained at supermarkets or hardware stores.
A touch-up pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur during assembly or
shipping.

SISTEMA DE OPERACIÓN DE TUERCA DE FIJACIÓN
CÓMO FUNCIONA LA INSTALACIÓN DE MONTAJE (KD)
1. Fijar los tornillos de fijación en los orificios pequeños. Conectar ambos paneles, cerciorandose que los
tornillos de fijación entren bien y que estos queden en los orificios al final del panel con tuercas de fijación.
2. Inserte las tuercas de fijación en los orificios grandes del panel. Hacer que la flecha en la tuerca este
apuntando hacia la entrada del tornillo de fijación.
3. Una vez que el tornillo este conectado dentro, tome un destornillador de cruz y apriete la tuerca en
dirección de las manecillas del reloj.
4. Coloque la tapa de la tuerca de fijación sobre la misma en la ranura de cruz, ver detalle.
Está listo para el ensamble KD de esta unidad.

Instructivo de ensamble
1. Desempacar la unidad y confirmar que se tiene todo el material de ferretería y partes requeridas.
Ensamblar la unidad en un piso alfombrado o en el cartón vacío para evitar rasguños.
2. Atornillar 2 niveladores de piso (13) en las placas de metal triangulares instaladas en el panel inferior (B)
y poner en la altura correcta.
3. Adjuntar 6 protectores de piso (12) en la parte inferior en el panele inferior (B) como se muestra.
Golpear ligeramente los protectors con un mazo de goma para asegurar de que esten completamente
metidos.

5. Insertar 2 clavijas de madera (3) en los agujeros interiores del panel divisor izquierdo (D). Golpear
ligeramente hacia adentro con el mazo de goma, si fuera necessario. Asegurese de usar poco pegamento
para ambos lados de las clavijas de madera.
6. Alinear los agujeros perforados en una moldura media (H) con las clavijas de madera (3) insertadas en
el panel divisor izquierdo (D), y luego presionarlos para juntarlos. Adjuntar la moldura media (H) en su
lugar empleando 2 tuercas de fijación (1) (Consulte la página 3 del sistema de tuerca de fijación).
7. Repetir el mismo procedimiento para combinar la otra moldura media (H) al panel divisor derecho (E).

21. Tomar una puerta (F) y adjuntar los brazos de bisagras extendidos a las bases de bisagra instaladas en un
panel lateral (C). Aflojar el tornillo detrás de la base para un ajuste fácil. Alinear e insertar el espacio “U”
en el brazo abajo de la cabeza del tornillo detrás de la base. Asegurar de que las bisagras de puerta
participen y funcionen correctamente. Apretar los tornillos en la base para trabar las bisagras en su lugar.
22. Repetir el mismo procedimiento para adjuntar la otra puerta (F) al otro panel lateral (C).
23. Abrir y cerrar las puertas para asegurar de que esten alineadas y que se cierren correctamente. Si fuera
necesario, ajustar los tornillos para un buen ajuste. Consultar la etiqueta de las bisagras en la puerta para
ajustes.

24. Desempacar el inserto de chimenea de la caja interior y seguir las instrucciones separadas para el inserto
de chimenea eléctrica para instalar el vidrio decorativo en la bandeja de media.
25. Poner el inserto de chimenea en la parte posterior del mantel ensamblado y centrar en la apertura.
NO arrastre el inserto a través de el panel inferior (B) porque puede rayar la unidad.

NOTA: Debe instalar la tira tope para prevenir que la TV se incline cuando ponga su televisión de
pantalla plana directamente sobre la consola.
27. Retirar el respaldo de papel del riel tope (K), luego alinear el riel tope con el borde superior del templete del
tope en el panel superior (A). Presionar el riel tope para ayudar a la adhesión.

Herramientas requeridas: Desarmador estrella, taladro, broca de 3/8” y mazo de goma.
29. Pida assistencia para posicionar la chimenea ensamblada en el lugar deseado contra la pared. Si fuera
necessario, ajuste los niveladores de piso pre-adjuntados en la parte inferior de la chimenea para nivelar
la unidad. Ahora, seguir las instrucciones impresas en la bolsa de plástico que contiene el juego de
restricción de movimiento para adjuntar los topes de movimiento a la unidad y a la pared.
NOTA: Niños pequeños pueden resultar lastimados por muebles inclinados. Debe instalar el juego de
restricción de movimiento con la unidad en función, para prevenir la inclinación de la unidad, causando
cualquier accidente o daño. El tope de movimiento es solo un impedimiento, no hay substituto para la
supervision adulta. El tope de movimiento no es contra terremoto. Si deseara añadir la seguridad extra
contra terremotos, deben ser comprados e instalados separadamente.
30. Conectar la chimenea al transformador de poder. Siga el manual de operación para el inserto de
chimenea eléctrica para controlar su chimenea.

Mantenimiento y Cuidados
Use una toalla suave y limpia para evitar daños y rayaduras.
Uso de cera para pulir muebles no es necesario. Si desea usar cera, pruebela en un área que no sea visible
para revisar su funcionamiento.
Usar solventes de cualquier tipo puede dañar el acabado del mueble.
Nunca use agua para limpiar la unidad, ya que le puede dañar el acabado.
Siempre utilice protección para vasos cuando los ponga sobre la unidad.
Líquidos derramados deben limpiarse inmediatamente, con una toalla suave evitando tallar.
Siempre utilizar protectores en caso de poner cosas calientes. El calor puede provocar una reacción química
en el acabado y dañarlo.
En caso que su unidad sea manchada durante el uso le recomendamos hablar a un profesional para que le
ayude.
Revisar los tornillos periódicamente y apretar en caso necesario.
Más recomendaciones para el cuidado de su Mueble
Es mejor mantener la unidad en una área de clima controlado. Temperatura extrema y cambios de humedad
pueden causar cambios como partes pandas, molduras que se contraigan o que la madera se raje. Es
recommendable mantener la unidad lejos del sol directo ya que puede dañar el acabado.
Cuidados adecuados y limpieza pueden extender la vida útil de su unidad. Siga estas recomendaciones y
mantendra su mueble en buenas condiciones de uso por muchos años.
Limpiando el borde de la chimenea
Limpie el borde metálico usando un paño suave, lijeramente humedecido con productos hecho con aceite
cítrico y pulir con un paño suave y limpio. NO usar latón pulido u otros limpiadores caseros porque estos
productos dañaran el borde metálico. Productos hechos de aceite cítrico se pueden obtener en un supermercado
o en una tienda de material de ferretería.
Un plumón de retoque es proveído en caso de pequeñas raspaduras o golpes que sucedan durante el ensamble o
envío.
