TLSport:ThenetworkportusedforencryptedSIPcommunication.Thesignalingtrafcthroughthisportisencryptedwith

TransportLayerSecurity(TLS).Thedefaultportnumberis5061.Enteradifferentportnumberifrequired.

RTPstartport:ThenetworkportusedfortherstRTPmediastreaminaSIPcall.Thedefaultstartportnumberis4000.

SomerewallsblockRTPtrafconcertainportnumbers.

NATtraversal

UseNAT(NetworkAddressTranslation)traversalwhenthedeviceislocatedonanprivatenetwork(LAN)andyouwantto

makeitavailablefromoutsideofthatnetwork.

ForNATtraversaltowork,theroutermustsupportit.TheroutermustalsosupportUPnP®.

EachNATtraversalprotocolcanbeusedseparatelyorindifferentcombinationsdependingonthenetworkenvironment.

ICE:TheICE(InteractiveConnectivityEstablishment)protocolincreasesthechancesofndingthemostefcientpathtosuccessful

communicationbetweenpeerdevices.IfyoualsoenableSTUNandTURN,youimprovetheICEprotocol’schances.

STUN:STUN(SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT)isaclient-servernetworkprotocolthatletsthedevicedetermineifitislocated

behindaNATorrewall,andifsoobtainthemappedpublicIPaddressandportnumberallocatedforconnectionstoremotehosts.

TURN:TURN(TraversalUsingRelaysaroundNAT)isaprotocolthatletsadevicebehindaNATrouterorrewallreceiveincoming
