OIL AND OIL FILTER CHANGE
IMPORTANT
Always change the oil filter when you change the engine oil.
The engine oil and oil filter
should be changed in
accordance with the Polaris
Maintenance Schedule. See
the Lubrication Guide section
for fluid recommendations and
capacities.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Put the transmission in PARK (P) and lock the parking brake.
3. Clean the area around the drain plug

4. Place a drain pan under the crankcase.
5. Remove the drain plug
q
and washer. Allow the oil to drain completely.
CAUTION
Hot oil can cause burns to skin. Do not allow hot oil to contact skin.
6. Install a new sealing washer on the drain plug. The sealing surfaces on drain
plug and crankcase should be clean and free of burrs, nicks or scratches.
7. Reinstall the drain plug. Torque to specification.
TORQUE
Drain Plug:
12 ft-lbs (16 N·m)
