1. INTRODUCTION
Ingenious time-saving tool and essential for any garage. Measures the brake pad lining on the vehicle without removing the road
wheel. Slim design enables the tool to locate the rear of the pad backing plate, allowing the probe to measure the distance between
the underside of the backing plate and brake disc. Suitable for both internal and external brake pads. Features calibration line, plus
minimum 1.5mm pre-MOT check mark. Designed for brake pads that have a normal 6mm thick backing plate (Class IV, V).

3. OPERATION
3.1. Calibrate by depressing the probe, ush with toe.
3.2. Sit the toe on the pad backing plate edge.
3.3. Depress the linear scale fully to brake disc.
3.4. Read the scale in mm = pad thickness.
3.5. If 1.5mm or the silver band shows, replace pads.
*Scale calibrated for 6mm Backing Plate.
