56V MINI BIKE — MB1000/ MB1000-FC34
Component Action
Brakes Pads and Rotors
Verify grasping of the brake lever engages the caliper into
the brake rotor before the lever reaches 3/4 of the travel.
Repeat this for each brake lever. If depressing the lever
does not allow the caliper to contact rotor, have mini bike
serviced immediately. Contact EGO customer service for
support.
Straddle the mini bike and support it in vertical position.
Check brake fluid reservoir for fluid level (Fig. 7c). If the fluid
reservoir is 3/4 empty, have mini bike serviced. Contact EGO
customer service for support.
Inspect brake lines for signs of fluid leakage. If found,
have mini bike serviced. Contact EGO customer service for
support.
Inspect the brake pads for wear, damage, or contamination.
Brake pads less than 1/16” (1.5 mm) thick need to be
replaced. Verify there are no cracks, glazing, or uneven wear
of the brake pads. If wear, damage, contamination is found,
have mini bike serviced. Contact EGO customer service for
support.
Inspect brake rotors for wear, damage, or contamination. If
warping, cracking, or excessive wear is detected, have mini
bike serviced. Contact EGO customer service for support. If
contamination is found, clean rotors with brake cleaner.
After pre-ride inspection, test your brakes by riding the
mini bike in an open and safe area to assess the braking
performance. Look for abnormal noises and vibration. If
detected, have mini bike serviced. Contact EGO customer
service for support.
NOTE: A squeaking noise heard while applying the brakes
during testing or on normal rides is an indicator that brake
pads and/or rotors require servicing.
