designedtofunctionquietlyandsafelyunder

normalcircumstances.

HintsforBetterCooling

1. Yourcoolerrequiresasupplyoffreshair.

Placethecoolernearanopenwindow

orleavethedoortotheroomopen.Then

openanotheroutsidewindowordooronthe

oppositesideoftheroomsothatyoucreate

“owthrough”ventilation.Thecoolerwillnot

workproperlyinaclosedroom.

2. Asanadditionplacethecoolernearthe

entrancetotheroom.Thecoolerwilldraw

coolairfromotherpartsofthehouseand

furtherbringdowntemperature.

3. Startyourcoolerwhentheroomisstillcool.

Youmayleaveitrunningallday.Youwillnd

thatthissystemworksbestandkeepsthe

roomcooler.

4.Placeicecrystalsboxinyourrefrigerator

andletitfreezefor1to2hours,thenplace

ittothewatertank.Itwillbegoodcooling

efciency.

5.Addcoldwaterandicetothewatertank.

Turnonthecoolswitchandthelterpadwill

becomedamp.Theairisdrawninthrough

backpanelandacrossthelterpadto

releasecoolcleanair.Itmaytakeafew

minutesforthepadtobecomesaturated.

6. Sincehumiditychangesfromhour-to-hour

andday-to-day,whenitistoohumid,you

mayuseyourcoolerasafan.Justturncooler

onbutdonotturnoncoolbutton.

Operation

OPERATION(Do Not connect the

power plug as yet)

1.Removeallpackagingandcheckthe

applianceforanydamagesduring

transportation.Placetheunitonalevel

surfaceinastableuprightposition.

2.Pourcleancoldwaterintothewatertank,

observingthewaterlevelindicatoranddo

notoverllpasttheMAXwaterindicator

mark.

CAUTION:

Whenmovingtheunit,dosowithextreme

caution,soasnottospillanywaterinthe

reservoir.Theunitshouldbemovedslowlyandin

asidewaysdirection.

CAUTION:

Ensureicecrystalsboxiskeptawayfrom

children,consumingwillbeharmful

3.Connecttheunittoapoweroutletofthe

samevoltageandfrequencyasindicated

ontheratingplate.Theunit’sON/OFFLED

lightforthepowerwillturnontoindicatethat

thereispowertotheunit.

4.TurntheunitONbypressingtheON/OFF

buttononce.Theunitwillstartwiththefanin

normalmodeandonhispeedsetting.Further

operationcanbeperformedviapressing

theSPEED,MODE,VANE,ANION,COOLand

TIMERbuttons.

5.Ifyouwishtoturntheunitoffatapre-

determinedtime,pleasepresstheTIMER

button.Theunitcanbesettoturnoffat

anytimebetween0.5hourand7.5hours

from“TurnOn”bypressingtheTIMER

button.Ifnotimeisselected,theunitwill

operatecontinuously.Thetimesetcanbe

incrementedin0.5hrstepsandtheselected

timeisindicatedbyacombinationof

indicatorlights.e.g.5.5hrsisindicatedbythe

4hrLED,the1hrLEDandthe0.5hrLEDbeing

illuminatedsimultaneously.

6.Toinitiatethecoolingfunction,pressthe

COOLbutton.Itwilltakeapproximately2

minutesfortheairtocool.

Note: If this button is not depressed

the unit will only circulate “room

temperature” air.

7.Movethehorizontallouversfortheairoutlet

toblowupordowntosuit.

8.Theverticallouverscanbesettoadirection

orallowedtorotatebypressingtheVANE

button.

9.Allthefunctionscanbeperformedwiththe

remotecontrolsuppliedwiththisunit.

a)Removebatterycoverandinstalltwo“AAA”

batteriesasindicated.(Pleaseobserve

correctbatterypolarity,batteriesnot

included).

b)Pointtheremotetowardstheunitandpress

theappropriatebutton.Theremotecontrol

willoperateupto4metersfromtheunit.

10.PresstheON/OFFbuttonagaintocancelall

functions.

11.Whennotinusedisconnecttheunitfromthe

poweroutlet.

Note: Initial setting is “normal” mode

and “Mi” speed.

A. ON/OFF:

Pressthebuttononcetostart

aircooler.PressagaintoPowerOFFtheair

cooler.Whencoolerispluggedintothe

mainsocket,theLEDlightwillbeilluminate

indicatingtheaircoolernowhaspowerand

isreadytobeswitchedONorOFF.

B. SPEED:Presstochangefanspeedfrom

“Mid-High-Low”,relativeSPEEDLEDlightsturn

on.SPEEDfunctionHigh-Mid-Lowandalsobe

usedin-conjunctionwiththeNORMAL,SLEEP

andNaturalfunction.

C. MODE:

Thereare3modefunctions,Normal,

NaturalandSleep.

• Normal mode: Constantairowandcan

beadjustedviatheSPEEDfunctionbutton.

Example,NormalLOWorNormalHighor

NormalMedium.

• Natural mode:Programmedtosimulate

Naturalairow(breeze)asthoughitwere

enteringviathewindow.Thismodeis

preferredforusewhenconstantairow

(Normalmode)isnotsuitable.Naturalmode

canbeoperatedinHIGHTorMEDIUMorLOW

speed.

• Sleepmode:Programmedtoprovide

comfortwhiletheuserisasleep.

Note: All above can be operated via the

remote control shown on page 3.

D. VANE:

Pressonce,theindicatingLEDwill

lightup,andthelouveroftheaircooler

beginstoswinghorizontallyandblowcoolair.

Pressthebuttonagain,thelightisnowOFF.

Thelouveroftheaircoolerstopsswinging,

andtheairwillbeblowinginonedirection.

E. ANION:

Togainfreshairinyourroom,just

pressANIONbuttonandthebuild-inionizer

willoperate.theindicatingLEDwilllightup,

PressoncetooperatetheCOOL

function.Thisfunctionbeginswiththeprocess

ofsoakingtheairlterinwatersothatnormal

airpassingthroughtheairlterwillbecooler

whenblownout.Pressthebuttonagainto

switchthisfunctionOFF,andtheunitwill

operatethefanmodeonly.

Note: The alarm will ring

when you press the Cool button if there

is not enough water in water tank.

Note: Under the cooling mode, the

appliance will delay 5 minutes to stop

working when you shut off the unit or

timer is complete, during the extended

period, the timer pilot lamp will ash.

G. TIMER

Setthelengthoftimebeforethecoolerswitches

itselfOFF.Pressonceforeach0.5hrincrement.

Maximumallowableis7.5hrs.Exampleofuse:

Ifthe0.5hrand1.0hrlightsareonatthesame

time,itmeanstheunitwillcontinuetorunfor

1.5hrsbeforeautomaticallyswitchingOFF.The

TIMMERfunctionisOFFwhennotimeLEDsare

illuminated.

Toensureeffectivehumidifyingandltering,itis

recommendedthatthelterbecleanedonce

everytwoweeks.

Disconnecttheunitfromthemainssupplybefore

cleaning.

Tocleantheexteriorsurfacessimplywipeover

withasoftdampcloth.Shoulditbenecessary,

greasymarksmayberemovedfromthesurfaces

byusingmildsoapandaclothdampenedin

hotwater.Avoidallothertypesofdetergents,

cleaners,solventsthatmaycontainchemicals,

whichcoulddamagepartsoftheunit.

Thoroughlydryallpartsbeforestorageorfurther

use.

TroubleShooting

Alwayscheckfullproductoperationasdetailed

abovebeforecallingforassistance,unlessthere

isdamagetothepowercordorplug-inthis

situation,stopusingtheproductimmediately.

Onhumiddaystheunitmaynotappeartobe

coolingcorrectly.Thisisduetotheairalready

beingsaturatedwithwater.Addingmore

watertotheairwillnotresultinpullingtheair

temperaturedown.Intheseconditions,itis

advisabletooperatetheunitasafanonlyto

circulateroomair.
