Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Devanti Evaporative Air Cooler.
Before first using your Devanti Evaporative Air
Cooler, it is important that you read and follow
the instructions in this user manual, even if you
are quite familiar with this type of appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to theYour attention is drawn particularly to the

Find a place and keep this manual handy for
future reference.
Your Devanti Evaporative Air Cooler is safe and
easy to use. It has been designed to function
quietly and safely under normal circumstances.

draw cool air from other parts of the house
and further lower the temperature.

Ensure that ice packs are kept away from
children as consuming them is harmful.
3. Connect the unit to a power outlet of the
same voltage and frequency as indicated
on the rating plate. When there is power to
the unit, the ON/OFF indicator light will turn
on.

Note: Under Cooling mode, the appliance
will delay shutting down for five minutes
when the appliance is turned off or the timer
has lapsed. During this extended period, the
timer pilot lamp will flash.
Note: After operating the air cooler for the
first time, the water in the water tank may
appear dirty and contain foreign particles.
These particles come from the surface of the
honeycomb filter when water initially washes
over it. Replace with clean water and this
discolouration will disappear with subsequentdiscolouration will disappear with subsequent
use.
Note: The COOL light will flash when you
press the COOL button if there is not enough
water in the water tank.
Note: All the above can be operated via the
remote control as outlined on Page 4.
Note: The initial setting is Normal mode and
Mid fan speed.
Note: If the COOL button is not pressed, the
appliance will only circulate ambient
room-temperature air.

pre-determined time whilst the appliance is in
normal use, please press the TIMER button.
The appliance can be set to turn off at any
time between one hour and nine hours with
the TIMER button. If no time is selected, the

standby mode, please press the TIMER button.

to direct air up or down to suit preference.
9. The vertical louvres can be set to a direction
or allowed to rotate by pressing the VANE
button.

While the unit is on standby mode, press the
TIMER button. The unit can be set to turn on
at any time between one and nine hours in
standby mode. For example, if the unit shows
three hours, this means that the unit will
automatically switch on after three hours.
