4.10.5 Ports and Device
Note this function is NOT applicable to GV-SD2322-IR.
Use the RS485 serial port to transmit data to a third-party device.

1. Select Trans-Channel / OSD / Local PTZ Control / Trans-Channel via ONVIF from the
Port Mode drop-down list.
◼ Transparent Channel (Trans-Channel) / Transparent Channel (via ONVIF):
Achieve transparent data transmission between two devices by using RS485 serial
port or ONVIF.
◼ OSD: Display information from the third-party device on the OSD.
◼ Local PTZ Control: Control a PTZ camera through a third-party device.
2. Select Enable Trans-Channel if Trans-Channel is selected.
3. Click Save.
Note:
1. If the OSD port mode is selected, the camera receives information from the third-party
device through the RS485 serial port, translates the received information, and then
displays it on the OSD.
2. If the Local PTZ Control port mode is selected, by sending PELCO-D compliant PTZ
control commands through the RS485 port, you can control the PTZ camera without
using the PTZ control panel.
