5. CLI Commands
show name
Use the show name command to display the name entered for the sensor.
Syntax
show name
Examples
The following command displays the specified sensor’s name:
console> device (PDU123)> sensor (Temp1)> show name
Temp1
device: sensor: output
output
Use the output command to configure the output contacts of an E2MTDO sensor.
Syntax
output {contact-1 | contact-2} alarm-level {normally_open | normally_closed}
output {contact-1 | contact-2} description <value>
• value – Specifies a description for the output contact.
no input {contact-1 | contact-2} description <value>
• value – Clears the description for the output contact.
Example
The following command sets “normally_open” as the contact-1 alarm level for sensor “E2MTDO-456” connected to device
“PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> sensor (E2MTDO-456)> output contact-1 alarm-level
normally_open
Update complete
The following command sets “Beacon 12-A” as the contact-2 description for sensor “E2MTDO-456” connected to device
“PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> sensor (E2MTDO-456)> output contact-2 description “Beacon 12-A”
Update complete
output close
Use the output close command to close an output contact of an E2MTDO sensor. On executing this command, a confirmation
message will appear; use the force option to close the contact without confirmation.
Syntax
output {contact-1 | contact-2} close [force]
Example
The following command closes contact-1 of sensor “E2MTDO-456” connected to device “PDU-Rack1”:
console> device (PDU-Rack1)> sensor (E2MTDO-456)> output contact-1 close
