snmp-user: role
role
Use the role command to change the Role assigned to the SNMP user entry. Three standard Roles are supported:
administrator (the default), manager and guest. Additionally, customized Roles may be assigned; see the root-level role
command.
Syntax
role {administrator | manager | guest | <custom-1> | <custom-2> | ...}
custom-x – Sets the entry’s role as the specified custom role (if created via the role command).
Examples
The following command assigns the role of Manager to entry “snmpadmin2”:
console> snmp-user (snmpadmin2)> role manager

show role
Use the show role command to display the role assigned to the SNMP user.
Syntax
show role

The following command displays the role assigned to entry “snmpadmin2”:
console> snmp-user (snmpadmin2)> show role
Manager
snmp-user: security-mode
security-mode
Use the security-mode command to change the default Privacy setting of the SNMP (v3) user entry. The default setting
is “No Authentication and No Privacy” (noauthnopriv). The other available choices are: “Authentication and No Privacy”
(authnopriv), “Authentication and Privacy” (authpriv).
Syntax
security-mode {noauthnopriv | authnopriv | authpriv}
Examples
The following command sets the Security Mode to “Authentication and Privacy” for entry “snmpadmin2”:
console> snmp-user (snmpadmin2)> security-mode authpriv
