WARNING

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings
refers to your mainsoperated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
WORK AREA SAFETY
•Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
•Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
ammableliquids,gasesordust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or
fumes.
•Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions greatly
increase the risk of injury.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
•Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Ensure that the Power Tool plug matches
theoutletbeforeuse.Donotusethisproductwithanyadaptersormodiedplugs.
Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
•Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
•Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
•Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
•When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor
use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
•Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
•Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection. Protective equipment
such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
•Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before
connecting the tool to a power source and/or battery pack before picking up or
carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the switch or energising power
tools that have the switch on invites accidents.

•Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a
key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
•Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the power tool
in unexpected situations.
•Dress appropriately, do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
•Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job
better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
•Do not use the power tool if the on and off switch is malfunctioning. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the on and off switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
•Disconnect the power tool from the power source before storing the product or making
any adjustments. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool
accidentally.
•Store idle power tools out of the reach of children. Do not allow anyone to operate the
power tool unless they have read the instruction manual. Power tools are dangerous in
the hands of untrained users.
•Check and maintain your power tool before and after every use. Look for binding of
moving parts, misalignment, damage, or any other conditions that may affect the
power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
•Clean and sharpen all cutting tools before and after use. Properly maintained cutting
tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
•Do not use power tools or accessories for any purpose outside it’s intended use. Use
of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE
•Rechargeonlywiththechargerspeciedbythemanufacturer.Use of a charger that is
not designed for the battery pack may create a risk of re.
•Keep the charging inlet away from other metal objects such as paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects. These objects may cause the battery
terminal to short which could result in burns or res.
HEDGE TRIMMER SAFETY WARNINGS:
• Keep all body parts away from the cutting blade while the power tool is plugged into the power
source. Make sure the power tool is unplugged from the power source when clearing jammed
material from the blade. A moment of inattention while operating the hedge trimmer may result
in serious personal injury.

• Always carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with lock button engaged until the product is
in use. Always install the blade cover when transporting or storing the hedge trimmer. Proper
handling of the hedge trimmer will reduce possible personal injury from the cutter blades.
• Always hold the power tool by the insulated grip handle. This will help protect the user should
the tool come in contact with any live wires. Contact with live wires may make exposed metal
parts of the tool live which could injure the operator.
• Keep any cords or extension cords away from the cutting blade. Contact cords or cables may
damage the tool and increase the risk of injury for the operator.
• Check the hedge for foreign objects before use.

The blades continue to move for a few seconds after the garden product is switched off.
W A R N I N G (PROPOSITION 65)
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities
contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some
examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints
• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.
Your risk of exposure to these chemicals varies depending on how often you do this type of
work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, work in a well-ventilated area, and work with
approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to lter out microscopic
particles.

BATTERY CHARGERS
WARNING
Keep the battery charger away from rain or moisture. Penetration of water in the battery charger
increases the risk if an electric shock.
• Keep Children and bystanders at a safe distance from the work area while the tool is being
used.
• The charger is designed for use from a standard household electrical supply. Do not attempt
to connect the charger to a supply with a different voltage.
• Do not charge other batteries. The battery charger is suitable only for the cordless shrub/
grass shear. Use of the charger with other products may result in re and explosion.
• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. There is danger of explosion.
• To reduce the risk of an electric shock, unplug the charger from the power supply before
attempting to clean it. Removing the output terminal alone does not reduce the risk.
• Pull on the charger to disconnect it from the power source. Do not pull on the lead.
• Keep the battery charger clean. Contamination can lead to danger of an electric shock.
• Before each use, check the battery charger. If damage is detected, do not use the battery
charger. Never open the battery charger yourself. Have repairs performed only by a qualied
technician and only using original spare parts. Damaged battery chargers, cables and plugs
increase the risk of an electric shock.
• Do not operate the battery charger on or near ammable products such as paper, textiles, etc.
• The heating of the battery charger during the charging process can pose a re hazard.

Carefully remove the garden product from its packaging and check if the following parts are

INTENDED USE
The garden product is intended for light trimming of shrubs and lawn edges in domestics use.
This product has many features for making its use more pleasant and enjoyable.
Safety, performance, and dependability have been given top priority in the design of this
product making it easy to maintain and operate.
UNPACKING
This product has been shipped completely assembled.
• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items
listed in the packing list are included.
• Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily
operated the tool.

BATTERY CHARGING
• Do not use any other battery chargers other than the one provided to charge this tool.
Charging the tool with a non manufacturer specied charger may result in re or explosion.
• Ensure that the plug matches the outlet before use.
• The voltage range of the charger is 100-240V. Do not use this product with any outlets that do
not meet the minimum voltage requirements or exceed them.
Note: the battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full capacity of the battery, completely
charge the battery in the battery charger before using your power tool for the rst time.
CHARGING PROCEDURE (LED INDICATOR)

WARNING
Do not continue to press the on/off switch after the garden product has been automatically switched
off. The battery can be damaged.
• Plug the battery charger into a socket outlet and the charger plug into the socket on the rear
side of the handle.
• The charging procedure starts as soon as the charger plug of the battery charger is inserted
into the socket.
• The battery LED indicator indicates the charging progress. The indicator light will ash green
throughout the charging process. The indicator light will stop ashing and become a solid green
when the battery is fully charged.
• During the charging procedure, the handle of the garden product warms up. This is normal.
• Disconnect the power tool from the charger when not using it for longer periods.

OPERATION
WARNING
Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction
of a second is sufcient to inict serious injury.
SWITCHING ON
• Press the lock-off button and squeeze the on/off switch. Once unit turns on release the lock-
off button while continuously holding the on/off switch for operation.
SWITCH OFF
• Release the On/Off switch.
CUTTING GRASS
• Place the tool horizontally over the area you wish to cut. Results are best when the lawn is
dry. Unlock the safety switch, and then depress the ON/OFF switch to cut the grass.
NOTE: To avoid serious personal injury, always turn off the machine before cleaning or when
removing jammed material. Use a soft brush to remove debris from intakes and cutting blade.
Then restart the machine.
TRIMMING HEDGES
• The device may be used to trim small hedges and shrubs. Hold the device in a slight angle
to the hedge you would like to trim. First, trim the lateral areas from the lower to the upper
edges, and then trim the top edge.

Switch off before adjusting or cleaning. The blade continues to move for a few seconds after the
garden product is switched off.
CAUTION
Do not touch the moving blades.
Note: To ensure long and reliable service, carry out the following maintenance regularly.
Regularly check for obvious defects such as loose xings, and worn or damaged components.
• Ensure that the guard and protective devices are undamaged and properly mounted. Before
using, carry out any necessary maintenance or repairs.
• If the garden product should happen to fail, repairs should always be carried out by an
authorized customer service agent for garden products.
BLADE MAINTENANCE
• Always clean and lubricate the blades with Maintenance Spray after use.
• During longer cutting jobs, we recommend periodically lubricating the cutting blade with
Maintenance Spray.
• Visually check the condition of the blades cutting edges.
• Ensure that the cutting blade is stored with the blade guard supplied when not in use.
CHANGING THE BLADE (see gure 3-6)

Always wear protective gloves when using, adjusting or cleaning the garden product.

• Lift up the cover release button.
• Slide the cover towards the on/off switch.
• Lift away from the housing.
• Lift the blade out.

BLADE FITTING (see gure 5)
• Locate the end of blade under the retaining rib in the rear corner of the housing, press down
the whole blade until aligning the holes in the blade onto the pins.
• When retting the cover ensure all location legs are inside the housing prior to sliding cover
into place.
• Slide the cover back towards the blade to secure.

GREENWORKS hereby warranties this product, to the original purchaser with proof of
purchase, for a period of three (3) years against defects in materials, parts or workmanship.
GREENWORKS, at its own discretion will replace any and all parts found to be defective,
through normal use, free of charge to the customer. This warranty is valid only for units which
have been used for personal use that have not been hired or rented for industrial/commercial
use, and that have been maintained in accordance with the instructions in the owners’ manual
supplied with the product from new.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:
1. Any part that has become inoperative due to misuse, commercial use, abuse, neglect,
accident, improper maintenance, or alteration; or

INFORMACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD

Lea atentamente y por completo las advertencias de seguridad y las instrucciones
de uso. La inobservancia de las advertencias de seguridad o de las instrucciones de uso

•Mantenga a niños y demás personas a una distancia prudente cuando utilice una
herramienta eléctrica. Las distracciones aumentan notablemente el riesgo de lesiones.
SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA
•Los enchufes de las herramientas eléctricas deberán coincidir con el tipo de toma
de corriente donde vayan a conectarse. No use este producto con adaptadores o
enchufesmodicados.Unos enchufes sin modicar y que coincidan perfectamente con sus
correspondientes tomas de corriente reducirán los riesgos de electrocución.
•Evite cualquier contacto corporal con superficies conectadas a tierra, tales como
tuberías, radiadores, hornillas eléctricas o frigoríficos. Existe un mayor riesgo de
electrocución si su cuerpo hace de conductor a tierra con dichos elementos y dispositivos.

SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
•Manténgase alerta. Preste atención a lo que está haciendo y use el sentido común
cuando esté utilizando una herramienta eléctrica. No utilice herramientas eléctricas
cuando esté cansado o si se encuentra bajo los efectos de drogas, alcohol o fármacos.

UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LA HERRAMIENTA ELÉCTRICA
•Utilice la herramienta eléctrica adecuada para cada aplicación. La utilización de la
herramienta correcta a la velocidad de funcionamiento para la que ha sido diseñada le
ayudará a efectuar el trabajo de manera más fácil y segura.
•No utilice la herramienta eléctrica si su interruptor de encendido/apagado no funciona
correctamente. Cualquier herramienta que no se puede controlar con el interruptor es
peligrosa y debe ser reparada antes de volver a utilizarse.
•Desconecte la herramienta de la toma de corriente antes de guardar el producto o
realizar ajustes. Estas medidas preventivas de seguridad reducirán enormemente el riesgo
de que la herramienta pueda activarse de manera accidental.
•Almacene las herramientas eléctricas fuera del alcance de los niños. No permita que
utilicen la herramienta personas que no hayan leído el manual de instrucciones. Las
herramientas eléctricas son extremadamente peligrosas en manos de personas que no
cuenten con la debida formación para su uso.
•Inspeccione la herramienta y realice las operaciones de mantenimiento necesarias

UTILIZACIÓN Y CUIDADOS DE LA HERRAMIENTA A BATERÍA
•Recargue la herramienta utilizando únicamente el cargador especificado por el
fabricante. El uso de cargadores que no estén diseñados para esta batería puede provocar
riesgo de incendio.
•Mantenga la toma de carga lejos de otros objetos metálicos como clips, monedas,
llaves, clavos, tornillos y otros objetos metálicos pequeños. Estos objetos pueden
cortocircuitar el terminal de la batería, lo que podría provocar quemaduras o incendios.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD PARA LA RECORTADORA DE SETOS:
• Mantenga todas las partes del cuerpo alejadas de la hoja de corte mientras la herramienta

bajo tensión aplicará tensión a las piezas metálicas expuestas de la herramienta, lo que
podría dañar al operario.
• Mantenga los cables o alargadores alejados de la hoja de corte. El contacto con cables
puede dañar la herramienta y aumenta el riesgo de lesiones para el operario.
• Compruebe que no haya objetos extraños en el arbusto ANTES de recortarlo.

El polvo creado al lijar, cortar, moler, perforar y otras actividades de construcción contiene
sustancias químicas que causan cáncer, defectos de nacimiento u otros daños reproductivos.
Algunos ejemplos de estos productos químicos son:
• El plomo de las pinturas a base de plomo.
• La sílice cristalina de ladrillos y cemento y otros productos de albañilería, y
• El arsénico y el cromo de la madera tratada químicamente.
El riesgo de exposición a estos químicos varía en función de la frecuencia con que realiza este
tipo de trabajo. Para reducir su exposición a estas sustancias químicas, trabaje en un área bien
ventilada y con equipos de seguridad aprobados, como mascarillas contra el polvo especialmente
diseñadas para ltrar partículas microscópicas.
ADVERTENCIAS DE SEGURIDAD PARA LOS CARGADORES
ADVERTENCIA
Mantenga el cargador de la batería alejado de la lluvia y la humedad. Si entra agua en el cargador
de la batería, aumenta el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
• Mantenga a los niños y demás personas a una distancia segura del área de trabajo mientras
esté usando la herramienta.
• El cargador está diseñado para utilizarse en un enchufe eléctrico doméstico estándar. No
conecte el cargador a un enchufe de red con voltaje distinto al indicado.
• No utilice el cargador con otras baterías. El cargador de baterías solamente está destinado
a la tijera de césped y arbustos sin cable. De otro modo puede haber riesgo de incendio y
explosión.
• No intente recargar pilas no recargables. Hay riesgo de explosión.
• Para reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, desenchufe el cargador de la red eléctrica antes
de acometer su limpieza. Para reducir el riesgo no basta con solamente desenchufar el
conector de salida.
• Desenchufe el cargador de la red eléctrica. No tire del cable.
• Mantenga limpio el cargador. La suciedad puede suponer un riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
• Antes de cada uso, compruebe el cargador de la batería. Si detecta algún daño, no use el
cargador de la batería. No desmonte nunca el cargador. Las reparaciones solamente debe
realizarlas un técnico cualificado y utilizando repuestos originales. Si el cargador de la
batería, los cables o los conectores están dañados, aumenta el riesgo de descarga eléctrica.
• No utilice el cargador de la batería sobre o cerca de productos inflamables, como papel,
telas, etc.
• El calentamiento del cargador la batería puede suponer un riesgo de incendio.

USO PREVISTO

CARGA DE LA BATERÍA
• Utilice solo el cargador de batería suministrado con esta herramienta. Cargar la herramienta
con un cargador no especicado por el fabricante puede provocar incendios o explosiones.
• Asegúrese de que el enchufe corresponde a la toma antes de usar el producto.
• El rango de voltajes del cargador va de 100 a 240 V. No use este producto en tomas que no
cumplan los requisitos mínimos de tensión o que los excedan.
Observación: la batería se suministra parcialmente cargada. Para que alcance su capacidad
máxima, antes de utilizar el aparato por primera vez cargue la batería por completo con el
cargador.

Si el aparato se apaga automáticamente, no siga accionando el interruptor de encendido. Se
podría dañar la batería.
• Conecte la toma de red del cargador a un enchufe y el conector del cargador al zócalo de la
parte posterior del mango, en la posición correcta.
• El proceso de carga comienza en cuanto se introduce el conector del cargador en el zócalo
del mango.
• El indicador del control de carga de la batería muestra el estado del proceso. El indicador
luminoso parpadeará en verde durante el proceso de carga. El indicador luminoso dejará de
parpadear y se iluminará en verde cuando la batería esté totalmente cargada.
• Durante el proceso de carga, el mango de la podadera se calienta un poco. Eso es normal.
• Cuando no vaya a utilizarlo durante una largo periodo de tiempo, desenchufe de la red el
cargador de la batería.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
ADVERTENCIA
No permita que su familiaridad con el producto le haga ser descuidado. Recuerde que un segundo
de descuido es suciente para que se produzca un accidente grave.
ENCENDIDO
• Pulse el botón de bloqueo y apriete el interruptor de encendido/apagado. Cuando la unidad se
encienda, suelte el botón de bloqueo mientras mantiene pulsado el interruptor de encendido/
apagado para funcionar.
APAGADO
• Suelte el interruptor de encendido.
CORTE DEL CÉSPED
• Coloque la herramienta en horizontal sobre la zona que desee cortar. Los mejores resultados
se consiguen cuando el césped está seco. Para cortar el césped, desbloquee el interruptor
de seguridad, y accione el interruptor de encendido.
OBSERVACIÓN: Para evitar lesiones personales graves, apague siempre el equipo antes de
quitar los residuos atascados. Utilice un cepillo suave para quitar los residuos de las tomas y
cuchillas. A continuación, vuelva a poner en marcha el aparato.
RECORTAR SETOS
• Este equipo se puede utilizar para recortar pequeños setos y arbustos. Mantenga el aparato
levemente inclinado respecto al seto que desee recortar. Primero recorte las zonas laterales
de abajo a arriba, y luego recorte el borde superior.

Apague el aparato antes de ajustarlo o limpiarlo. Las cuchillas se siguen moviendo durante
algunos segundos tras apagar el aparato.
CUIDADO
No toque las cuchillas mientras estén en movimiento.
Observación: Para que el equipo le ofrezca una larga vida útil y un funcionamiento able,
realice periódicamente las siguientes operaciones de mantenimiento.
Compruebe regularmente la existencia de defectos obvios, como tornillos ojos y componentes
dañados o desgastados.
• Compruebe que las guardas y los dispositivos de protección no presenten daños y estén
debidamente colocados. Antes de utilizar el aparato, realice las reparaciones y operaciones
de mantenimiento que sean necesarias.
• Si, a pesar del cuidado que hemos puesto en la fabricación y pruebas del equipo, éste fallara,
su reparación debe llevarla a cabo un servicio técnico autorizado para los productos de
jardín.
MANTENIMIENTO DE LAS CUCHILLAS
• Limpie y lubrique siempre las hojas con el spray de mantenimiento después del uso.
• Durante las pausas entre las operaciones con el equipo, recomendamos lubricar las cuchillas
con el Espray de Mantenimiento.
• Haga una inspección visual del estado del lo de las cuchillas.
• Asegúrese de colocar la funda de las cuchillas al guardar el equipo o cuando no esté en uso.

RETIRADA DE LAS CUCHILLAS (

• Levante el botón de liberación de la funda.
• Deslice la funda hacia el interruptor de encendido.
• Sepárela del cuerpo del aparato.
• Saque la cuchilla.

• Coloque el extremo de la cuchilla bajo el nervio de retención de la esquina posterior del
cuerpo del aparato, empuje hacia abajo toda la cuchilla hasta que sus oricios queden
alineados sobre los bulones del impulsor.
• Al volver a colocar la funda, antes de deslizarla a su sitio asegúrese de que las 4 patillas de
posición queden en el interior del cuerpo del aparato.
• Deslice la funda hacia la cuchilla para asegurarla.

ADVERTENCIA
Apague el aparato antes de ajustarlo o limpiarlo. Las cuchillas se siguen moviendo durante
algunos segundos tras apagar el aparato.
ADVERTENCIA
Utilice guantes de protección siempre que vaya a utilizar, ajustar o limpiar el aparato.
• Limpie minuciosamente el exterior del equipo con un cepillo suave y un trapo. No utilice
nunca agua, disolventes ni abrillantadores. Quite todos los residuos.
• Guárdelo en un lugar seco y seguro, fuera del alcance de los niños. No coloque otros objetos
encima de aparato.

Por este medio y por un período de tres años GREENWORKS garantiza este producto
contra defectos en materiales, piezas o mano de obra al comprador original que cuente con
una prueba de compra. GREENWORKS, a su sola discreción reparará o reemplazará, sin
costo alguno para el cliente, cualquier pieza defectuosa, siempre y cuando se haya hecho uso
normal de ella. Esta garantía es válida solamente para unidades utilizadas de manera personal
y que no hayan sido utilizadas o alquiladas para uso industrial o comercial, y que hayan recibido
mantenimiento de acuerdo a las instrucciones que aparecen en el manual del propietario que se
suministró con el producto nuevo.
ARTÍCULOS QUE NO CUBRE LA GARANTÍA:
1. Cualquier pieza que se haya vuelto inoperante debido a mal uso, uso comercial, abuso,
descuido, accidente, mantenimiento inapropiado o alteración; o
2. La unidad, si no ha sido operada o si no se le ha dado mantenimiento de acuerdo al
manual del propietario; o
3. Desgaste normal, excepto según se indica a continuación;
