A. Usage Situations where Applim_ce Power Cord will be
Discom_ected Infrequently.
An adapter mar be used only on a 15-amp circuit. Do not
use ai] adapter on a 20-amp drcuit. _4]]ere local codes
peru/it, a TEMPORARY CONNECTION may be made
to a properly grounded two-prong wall receptacle by tile
tlse ofa UiAismd adaptei; a\_filable at inost hardware
stores. Tile larger slot in tile adapter must be aligned
with the laiger slot in the wall receptacle to provide
proper polarity in tile com]ection of tile power cord.
TemporaryMethod
(Adapter plugs not permitted in Canada)
Align large prongs/slots
Ensure proper ground
and firm connection
before use
CAUTION: Att.,.l/i.gtheadapter ground
tem]inal to tile wall receptacle cover screw does not
ground tile appliance unless tile corer screw is met;d,
and not insulated, and the wall receptacle is grounded
through tile house widng. Tile customer should have
the drcuit checked by a qualified electrician to make
sure the receptacle is properly grounded.
_A]/en disconnecting tile power cord fl'om tile adaptei;
always hold tile adapter with oi]e hand. If this is i]ot
done, tile adaptor ground tem]inal is very likely to break
with repeated use. Should this happen, DO NOT USE
tile appliance until a proper ground has again been
established.
