Installation Location Recommendations
Make sure there are no object in the vicinity of the unit that
could obstruct the indoor air inlet or outlet, or the outdoor
exhaust air vents.
Choose a window where condensation water can be easily
dispersed to the back of the unit and will not affect others.
The window must be able to support the weight of the unit.
Choose a window where the noise and exhaustion air pro-
duced by the unit will not affect others.
Choose a window that is out of the reach of children and pets.
Adjusting to a Storm Window
A storm window frame will not allow the air conditioner to
tilt toward the outside and will prevent proper draining. To
adjust for this, x a piece of wood to the window sill in order
to elevate the air conditioner above the frame.
The wood piece should be 51 mm deep (2 in) and large
enough to t inside the window frame. It should be thick
enough to clear the storm window frame (or vinyl frame if
one is present) by 13 mm (1/2 in). Fix the wood piece se-
curely to the sill with nails or screws (not provided).
