(DR)modulewhich can be purchasedseparately. Contactyour
local utility or visit www.GEApptionces.com/demondresponse
to seeif your area is using DRtechnology.
The following demand responsefeatures are availableas part
of a pilot test program with the local utility company to help
consumersreduce peakelectricity usage in the home.
Settings Menu
Press SETTINGS;then select Energg Management.
Instollotion
The preferredlocation for the module installation ison top
of the clothes dryer.
Detailson how to connectthe cablesto the moduleare
in the instructionsthat come with the module.
Wait 5 minutes;then pressthe Settingsbutton. Scrolland
lookfor the energy management screen as seen below.

Thisscreen meansthe module isattached correctlg and
gou can begin to use gour DR-enabledappliancefollowing
the instructionsbelow.
If the EnergyManagementScreenis not available,refer to
the DRmoduletroubleshootingguide.
Quick Guide
Thereare 4 power levelsavailable:Critical,High, Mediumand
Low.Onthe Medium and Low levels,the unit runsas normal.
The following stepsshow how the unit reactsduring startup
at Criticaland Highpower levels.
Option1(Oelo_lEco)
During startupsat Critical and High levels,the unit will delag
starting until the levelbecomes Mediumor Low.Pressthe
START/PAUSEbutton.
Option2(OverrideOelo_lEco)
To start the unit when DelaNEcois shown, pressthe DELAY
STARTbutton to turn the delaNoff. Then pressSTART/PAUSE
to beginthe cgcle.

If gouare starting a cgcle in a Criticalor HighutilitNrate, this
option allowsthe unit to automaticallN run on an EcoCgcle.This
setting will operate with lessenergNthan normal cgcles.Default
setting is YES.
Auto-ExtendOelo_lS
Ifa timed delaNis selected,this option allowsfor the scheduled
start to extend if the utilitNrate isCritical or High at the
scheduledstart. Thedefault setting will automaticallNextend
thesecgcles.
TimedOralEcoOption
Ifthe unit is running in Timed DrN Modeand the utilitNrate
switchesto Critical or High,the unit will conserveenergNbN
decreasingheat if YES(default)isselected.If NOis selected,the
unitwill operate normallN.
NOTE:When YES(default)is selected,gour loadmaNbedamp
at the end of the cgcle.
In orderfor the demand responsefeatures on the applianceto
work, additional equipment is requiredto be installedto interface
with the local utilitN.SuchequipmentmaNbe soldseparatelN
and/or is available through gour utilit Nas part of the pilot test
program.Checkwith gour utilitNcompanNto see if a pilot test
program is availablein gour area and for full details.
PLEASENOTE:At the conclusionof the pilot test program or if
goumove to an areawhere the program is not available,the
demand responsefeatures cannot be activated and utilizedon
the appliance.Theappliance will function as normal after the
demand responseequipment has been deactivatedor
disconnected.
