JIG SAW SAFETY RULES
NOTE:
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained.
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Check the following points:
·The voltage of the motor(220V)should correspond to the main voltage.
·The feeder cable and plug should be in good condition without any loose bits
or damage.
·The saw blade should not show any cracks or fractures and should not have
lost any teeth. Otherwise, the saw blade should be replaced immediately.
·There should be enough room underneath the workpiece to prevent the saw
blade from coming in contact with the floor or worktable as it moves up and
down.
2. The teeth should always point upward.
3. Always wear protective goggles when using the appliance.
4. Maintain the appliance carefully.
5. Do not use the appliance in a wet environment.
6. Firmly clamp the workpiece that you will be sawing into place.
7. Remove any wood residue that is near or stuck to the surface of the saw
blade; do not use your hand for this. Switch the appliance off before removing
any residue!
8. Always switch the jigsaw on before bringing it into contact with the
workpiece.
9. When sawing the wood watch out for knots, nails, cracks and/or dirt
deposits. These can cause the saw blade to jam dangerously.
10. Do not saw workpieces that are thicker than the length of the saw blade.
11. Do not touch metal parts of the jig saw when sawing in walls or floors in
which there could be electricity cables. Hold the jig saw's plastic handle firmly
with both hands in case you accidentally saw through the cable without getting
a shock.
12. After the sawing work is finished, switch off, switch off the appliance first
and wait until the saw blade comes to a standstill before removing it from the
workpiece.
