An unbalancedgarage door might not re verse when
requiredand someoneunderthe doorcouldbeseriously
injuredorkilled.
Ifyourgaragedoorbinds,sticksor isout ofbalance,call
for professionalgaragedoorservice.Garagedoors,door
springs,cables,pulleys,brackets,andtheirhardwareare
underextremetensionand cancauseseriousinjury or
death. Do not try to loosen, move or adjust them
yourself!
Ropesleft on a garage door could causesomeoneto
become entangled and killed. Remove all ropes
connectedtothedoorbeforeinstallingand operatingthe
opener,
Toavoiddamageto thegaragedoorandopener,disable
locksbeforeinstallingand operatingthe opener.Usea
woodscrewornailto holdlocksinthe"open" (unlocked)
position.
Operationat otherthan 120V60 Hz will cause opener
malfunctionand damage.
Idemify the type and height of your door, any special
conditions that exist, and any additional materials that
may be required. Refer m pages 6 and 7.
Test Your Door for Balance
Before you begin, complete the following test to make
sure your door is balanced, and is not sticking or
binding:
Lift the door about halfway as shown. Release the door.
It should stay in place, supported entirely by its springs.
Raise and lower the door to see if there is any binding or
sticking.
