Video Configuration: Video Format, Resolution, Bit Rate and Frame
Rate
With the following procedures you can set the video configuration used for recording clips. Select the
combination of video format, resolution/bit rate and frame rate settings that best matches your creative needs.
The color sampling will be YCbCr 4:2:0, 8 bit.
Available options for some settings may change depending on previous selections for other settings. See the
table following the procedures for a summary. For details on recording audio, refer to Recording Audio (A 79).
Selecting the Video Format
1 Select [Movie Format].
> [3 ! Recording Setup] > [Movie Format]
2 Select [¸ MP4] or [ XF-AVC] and then select [X].
Selecting the Resolution and Bit Rate
1 Select [¸ Resolution] or [ Resolution].
> [3 ! Recording Setup] > [¸ Resolution] or [ Resolution]
2 Select the desired option and then select [X].
The selected resolution and bit rate will appear on the right of the screen.
Selecting the Frame Rate
1 Select [¸ Frame Rate] or [ Frame Rate].
> [3 ! Recording Setup] > [¸ Frame Rate] or [ Frame Rate]
2 Select the desired option and then select [X].
The icon of the selected frame rate will appear on the right of the screen.
MP4 clips: Available video configuration settings
* The frame rate is fixed and cannot be changed. Also, the audio format (A 79) is automatically set to [ AAC 16bit 2CH].
