During the first use the heating element undergoes a minor chemical
reaction that may result in a slight odor and/or minor smoking. It quickly goes away.
WARNING: Do not place any part of the product in a dishwasher.
KEEP THE BASE DRY AT ALL TIMES. IF BASE GETS WET OR THE EXTERIOR BOTTOM OF THE
KETTLE GETS WET, THIS WILL DAMAGE THE HEATING MECHANISM AND YOUR KETTLE WILL
NOT LONGER FUNCTION. KEEP IT DRY AT ALL TIMES!
