5.1 RS-232 Port
The RS-232 port is built into the UPS system’s rear panel to provide communication between the UPS and computer. Use Tripp Lite’s
free PowerAlert
®
power management software (available for download at tripplite.com/poweralert) to:
1. Define shutdown delay time (battery shutdown).
2. Perform unmanned shutdown and restart of UPS and computer in the event of an extended utility failure.
5.2 SMART Slot
Install an optional WEBCARDLX in this slot to remotely monitor and control the UPS via a network. The RELAYCARDSV may also be
inserted in this slot to provide dry contact communication functionality. Refer to the WEBCARDLX and RELAYCARDSV manuals for further
details.
Note: Only one card may be used at a time.
5.3 EPO Connector
The EPO is included as standard for site safety. Keep pins 1 and 2 closed for normal UPS operation. To enable EPO function, open
contact between pins 1 and 2.
