4. Installation
The SRCOOL3KTP is designed to work in conjunction with Tripp Lite’s SR25UBAC or SR33UBAC rack enclosures, but it can also
be used with any standard rack with an open top to deliver precision cooling to installed equipment.
When installing the SRCOOL3KTP on a non-Tripp Lite rack, please consider the following:
• The amount of space available near the top of the rack. The SRCOOL3KTP requires that the first 4U of space below the
cooler is open for proper air flow.
• Access to the electrical connections for power and the connector for the display needs to be provided.
• The spacing for the mounting holes to secure the SRCOOL3KTP is fixed and should not be modified. If the
mounting holes do not work with the rack, consider replacing the rack with a SR25UBAC or SR33UBAC.
• Due to the weight of the SRCOOL3KTP, it is not recommended to install the unit on a rack that exceeds 33U in
height.
• A mount for the display used for the SRCOOL3KTP is not provided. It is upon the discretion of the end user to
determine a mounting means suitable for the rack in use. Alternately, the SRCOOL3KTPDISBKT accessory can be used to
mount the display to most rack doors, both vented and non-vented.
• The SRCOOL3KTP is supplied with 4 M8-20 mm bolts, lock washers and flat washers to secure the unit to the top
of the rack. Only the provided hardware and mounting locations should be used. For reference, the mounting pattern is:
