CLEANING
, Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc,
of alt foreign matter.
, Keep finished surfaces and wheels free
of all gasoline, oil, etc.
, Protect painted surfaces with automo-
tive type wax.
We do not recommend using a garden
hose to clean your tractor unless the elec-
trical system, muffler, air filter and carbure-
tor are covered to keep water out. Water in
engine can result in a shortened engine
life.
_L, CAUTION: Before performing any service or adjustments:
o Depress clutch/brake pedal fully and set parking brake,
• Place motion control lever in neutral (N) pos}tion,
• Place attachment clutch in "DISENGAGED" position.
• Turn ignition key "OFF" and remove key,
• Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped.
• Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come
in contact with plug.
TRACTOR
TO REMOVE MOWER
• Place attachment clutch in "DiSEN-
GAGED" position,
• Turn height adjustment knob to lowest
setting.
• Lower mower to its _owest position.
• Remove retainer spring holding anti-
swaybar to chassis bracket and disen-
gage anti-swaybar from bracket°
. Remove retainer springs from suspen*
slon arms at deck and disengage arms
from deck.
• Raise attachment lift to its highest posi-
tion.
Lift
• Remove two retainer springs from each
front llnk and remove links.
• Slide mower forward and remove belt
from electric clutch putiey.
° Slide mower out from under right side
of tractor.
IMPORTANT: If an attachment other than
the mower deck is to be mounted on the
tractor, remove the front links.
TO INSTALL MOWER
Follow procedure described in "INSTALL
MOWER AND DRIVE BELT" in theAs-
sembly section of this manual.
