4. Re-calibrate the aircraft if the Aircraft Rear Indicators blink red.
If the Aircraft Rear Indicators blink red and yellow alternately after the calibration is complete, it
indicates strong interference in the current location. Move the aircraft to a dierent location and
try again.
A prompt will appear in DJI Pilot 2 if compass calibration is required before takeoff. The
prompt will disappear after the calibration is complete.
If the compass calibration is complete, place the aircraft on the ground. If the prompt appears
again in DJI Pilot 2, try moving the aircraft to a different location before re-calibrating the
compass.
Three-Propeller Emergency Landing
During a flight, if one motor of the aircraft stops working due to a runtime failure, the aircraft will
automatically switch to the Three-Propeller Emergency Landing mode. The ight controller system will
try to maintain the stability and control of the aircraft attitude and velocity, and make the aircraft descend
automatically in this mode. This allows sucient time for the user to y the aircraft to a safe area suitable
for landing, avoiding a fall of the aircraft and its payloads from a high altitude, and preventing losses,
personal injuries, and property damage on the ground.
When the aircraft enters the Three-Propeller Emergency Landing mode, the remote controller will vibrate
to alert the user. At the same time, the aircraft will spin rapidly and automatically descend by default.
The stick that controls the backward and forward movements of the aircraft will be adjusted to control
movements in the north and south directions, and the stick controlling the left and right movements will
be adjusted to control east and west. It is recommended to operate the sticks and move the aircraft to
a safe location suitable for landing as soon as possible. When the aircraft approaches the ground, the
user may enable the emergency propeller stop function to land the aircraft. Reducing the chances of the
aircraft crashing or spinning and minimizing any losses.
Three-Propeller Emergency Landing can only be used on an aircraft with a takeo weight of ≤
3.78 kg and at a ight altitude of ≥ 10 m (32.8 ft), in an open environment.
Once such a failure occurs, move the aircraft immediately away from people and valuable
property, and land the aircraft on level and soft ground, such as grass, to minimize any
damage to the aircraft.
In the case where a propeller is damaged but the motor is still working properly, the aircraft
will not enter the Three-Propeller Emergency Landing mode.
Three-Propeller Emergency Landing is only intended for emergency situations where the
propulsion system has failed. DO NOT activate this function when there is no emergency.
This feature is constantly updated to cover more scenarios. Make sure that all rmware is up
to date.
After an emergency landing, contact DJI Support for maintenance or repair of the propulsion
system as soon as possible.
