1, Defective On-Off switch. 1. Replace defective parts before using Lathe
Defective sw:itch cord.
Defective sw_tch box receptacle.

Other cause
1. V-belt too loose 1.

Back off tailstock ram and lubricate
cup center. See Basic Lathe Operation
