Aboutthe automatic icemaker.
A newly-installed refrigerator may take 12-24 hours to begin making ice.
Automatic Icemaker (onsome models)
There are two types of icemakers:
Power
Switch

The icemaker will produce ai)proMnmtely
3 to 3-1/2 lbs. of ice in a 24-hour period,
depending on tile fl'eezer compartment

of door openings and other use conditions.
There are two t)pes ot icemake_s: power
switch models and feeler am/models.
If tile refl_igerator is operated befi)re tile
water connection is made to the icemaket,
set tile power switch to 0 (off) or move tile
libeler am/ to tile STOP(up) position.
When the refl_igerator has been connected
to tile water sui)pl > set tile power switch to
tile I (0/1)position or move tile libeler am/ to
tile ON (down) position. On power switch
models, the green light will come on.
The icemaker will fill with water when it
cools to 15°E A newl}qnstalled refligerator
may take 12 to 24 hom_ to begin making
ice cubes.
Once tile icemaker starts to make ice, it
may rake up to 48 hotu_ to fill tile bin,
depending on the temperature settings
and nunlber of door openings.
Throw awm tile first tew batches of ice to
allow the water line to clem:
Be sure nothing intedbres with tile sweep

am/, tile icemaker will stop producing ice.
It is nomml for several cubes to be joined
together.
If ice is not used fl'equenfl> old ice cubes
will become cloudy, taste stale, shrink or
fllse together:
On power switch models, the green power
light will blink it ice cubes get stuck in the
icemake_: To correct this, set tile power
switch to 0 (off)and remove the cubes. Set
the power switch to ! (on) to restart the
icemake_: _Mter tile icemaker has been
turned on again, there will be a delay of
about 45 minutes before tile icemaker
I'eS/llI/es ol)ei'ation.
NOTE: In homes with lower-than-averagewater
pressure,you may hear the icemakercycle multiple
times whenmaking onebatch of ice.
Icemaker Accessory Kit

an icemaker accessory kit is axailable at
extra cost.

ordered since tile I)lastic tubing, should
not be Ctlt.
NOTE:TheonlyGEapprovedplastictubingb that
suppliedin GESmartConned_ Refn_?eratorTubing
kits.Donotuseanyotherplasticwatersupplyline
becausethelineis underpressureatall times.
Certaintypesofplasticwill crackorrupturewith
ageandcausewaterdamageto yourhome.
