CAN RESULT IN A RiSKOF ELECTRIC SHOCK.
Consult a qualifiedelectricianor service person ifthe grounding instructionsare not com-
pletely understood,or ifdoubt exists as towhether the appliance is properly grounded. If it
is necessary to use an extension cord, use onlya three wire extension cord thathas a

than the electrical ratingof the appliance.
Grounding instructions
THiS APPLIANCE MUST BE GROUNDED. Inthe event of an electrical short circuit,
grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric
current. This appliance is equipped with a cord havinga grounding wire with a grounding
plug. The plug must be plugged intoan outlet that is properlyinstalled and grounded.
Plug into properly installedand grounded 3 prong outlet.
DO NOT remove ground prong.
DO NOT use an adapter.
PowerSupply
1.A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resultingfrom becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longercord.
2. Longer cord sets or extension cords are available andmay be used ifcare isexercised
in their use. Do not letcord hang over edgeof a table or counter.
3. Ifa long cord or extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical ratingof the cord set
or extension cord should be at least as greatas the electricalrating ofthe appliance, (2)
the extension cord mustbe a grounding-type 3-wire cord, and (3) the longer cord
should be arranged so that itwill notdrape over the countertop or table-

Wiring Requirements
The oven must be operated on a SEPARATECIRCUIT.No other appliance should share
the circuitwith the microwave oven. If itdoes, the branch circuitfuse may blow or the cir-
cuit breaker may trip. The oven must be plugged intoat least a 20 AMP, 120VOLT, 60 Hz
GROUNDED OUTLET. Where a standard two-prong outlet is encountered, it isthe
personal responsibilityand obligation of the consumer to have it replacedwith a properly
grounded three-prongoutlet. The VOLTAGEused must be the same as specified on this
microwave oven (120 V, 60 Hz). Using a highervoltage is dangerous and may result in a
fire or oven damage. Using a lower voltage will cause slow cooking. Panasonic is NOT
responsible for any damages resulting from the use of the ovenwith any voltage other
than specified.
TV / Radio interference
1.Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference toyour radio,TV or similar
equipment.
2.When there isinterference, it may bereduced or eliminated by taking the following
measures:
(a) Place the radio,TV, etc. away from the microwave oven as faras possible.
(b) Use a properly installedantenna to obtainstronger signal reception.
