No meter reading.
1. Connections are reversed.
2. Poor electrical connection.
3. AC outlet is dead.
4. Battery is defective (will not accept
charge).
1. With charger unplugged, reverse
clips and reconnect (rock back and
forth to bite in).
2. Clean clips and battery poles and
reconnect (rollback and forth to
bite in).
3. Plug in a lamp or other appliance
to check for voltage.
4. Have battery checked.
Charger will not taper
down.
Problem Cause Remedy
1. Battery has problem and will not take
full charge.

Ammeter needle moves
to extreme right,
remains a short time,
then returns to zero,
accompanied by a
clicking sound.

from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance or trouble shooting.
