Short vacations
If you will be away for less than four weeks, use these
tips to prepare your refrigerator before you leave.
1. Use up any perishables and freeze other items.
2. If your refrigerator has an automatic ice maker:
• Raise signal arm to OFF (up) position.
• Shut off water supply to the ice maker.
3. Empty the ice bin.

suivez ces conseils pour pr6parer votre r_frig6rateur avant
d'aller en vacances.
1. Consommer tous les aliments p6rissables et congeler les
autres articles.
2, Si votre r6frigerateur a une machine & gla_ons
automatique :
• Soulever le bras de commande & gla_ons & la position
OFF (61ev6e).
• Fermer I'approvisionnement d'eau & la machine
gla_ons.
3, Vider le bac E gla_ons.
Long vacations
If you will be gone for a month or more, follow these
steps to prepare your refrigerator.
1, Remove all food from the refrigerator.
2, If your refrigerator has an automatic ice maker:
• Turn off the water supply to the ice maker at least one
day ahead of time.
• When the last load of ice drops, turn off the ice
maker. Make sure all ice is dispensed out of the ice
maker mechanism.
3. Unplug the refrigerator.
4, Clean it, wipe it, and dry well.
5. Tape rubber or wood blocks to the tops of both doors
to prop them open far enough for air to get in. This
stops odor and mold from building up.

Si vous vous absentez pendant un mois ou plus, suivre les
6tapes suivantes pour pr6parer votre r6frig6rateur.
1. Enlever tousles aliments du r6frigerateur.
'2 Si votre r_frig6rateur a une machine & gla_ons
automatique :
• Fermer I'approvisionnement d'eau & la machine ,_
gla_ons au moins une journ6e & I'avance.
• Lorsque la derni_re quantit6 de gla?ons est d6pos_e,
arr_ter la machine & gla?ons et s'assurer que tousles
gla?ons sont distribu6s hors du mecanisme de la
machine E gla_ons.
3. D6brancher le refrigErateur de la prise.
4. Bien nettoyer, essuyer et s_cher le plateau.
,5. A I'aide de ruban adh_sif, fixer des blocs de caoutchouc
ou de bois & la partie sup_rieure de chaque porte de
fa_on _ ce qu'elles soient suffisamment ouvertes pour
permettre la circulation de I'air & I'interieur, afin d'6viter
I'accumulation d'odeurs ou de moisissure.
Moving
When you are moving your refrigerator to a new home,
follow these steps to prepare it for the move.
1. If your refrigerator has an automatic ice maker, turn off
the water supply to the ice maker at least one day
ahead of time.
2. Disconnect the water line from the back of the
refrigerator.
3. When the last load of ice drops, lift the signal arm to
the OFF (up) position.
4. Remove all food from the refrigerator and pack all
frozen food in dry ice.
5, Unplug the refrigerator.

Lorsque vous d_m_nagez votre r_frig_rateur a une nouvelle
habitation, suivre ces _tapes pour pr6parer le
d6menagement :
1. Fermer I'approvisionnement d'eau de la machine _,

r_frig6rateur.
3. Une fois la quantit_ de glace 6puis6e, soulever le bras de
commande & la position OFF (61ev6e).
4. Retirer tousles aliments du r6frig6rateur et placer tous
les aliments congel_s darts de la neige carbonique.
5, D6brancher le r6frig6rateur de la prise.
