HOW TO START A DEFROSTING PROCESS
1. Open the door and put the food to be defrosted into the appliance. The food
must be placed on a plate or in a container. Close the door.
2. Set the POWER LEVEL« DEFROST » using the rotary knob « POWER »; s.
chapter 4.2.1 SETTABLE POWER LEVELS.
3. Set the desired DEFROSTING TIME using the rotary knob « TIME »; e. g. 10
minutes.
4. After the setting of the defrosting time the defrosting process starts
immediately.
If you want to interrupt the defrosting process (e. g. to turn the frozen food),
open the door at any point of time. When you close the door again, the
defrosting process will proceed.
5. When the defrosting time has elapsed, an acoustic signal sounds and the internal
light goes off.

6. If you remove the food to be defrosted before the set time has elapsed, you
must always set the rotary knob « TIME » to « 0 »; otherwise the appliance will
continue operation. Never operate the appliance when it is empty!
5. Microwave cooking
5.1 Basics of microwave cooking
1. Arrange your food carefully. Place thick pieces at the outer areas of your
arrangement.
2. Consider the cooking times. Choose the shortest time available. If needed, add
some more cooking time later. Any food, which is cooked too long in a
microwave, can begin to fume or catch fire.
3. Cover food while it is cooking. Covering avoids splashes and enhances an even
cooking procedure.
4. Turn over your food once while cooking it. Food like chicken or hamburgers will
then cook faster. Larger pieces like roasts must be turned over at least once.
5. Rearrange food like meat-balls in the middle of the cooking time from the outer
areas to the inner ones (and inversely) and also turn them over.
