Fullypush-in choke lever and contin-
ue to pull starter rope handle until en-
gine starts.
Then, squeeze and release the
thrott/e trigger to return engine to idle
speed.
Tostop engine, move On/Stop switch
to the 8TOP position.

Pullchokeleveroutfully, thenpushit
infullytoset engineinfastidleposi-

Sharplypullstarterropehandlewith
yourright handuntilthe enginestarts,
butnomorethan5 times.
Then,squeezeand releasethe
throttletriggerto returnengineto idle
speed.
Tostopengine,moveOn/Stopswitch
tothe STOPposition.
DIFFICULT STARTING OR
STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE
The enginemaybe floodedifit hasnot
startedafter10pulls.Floodedengines
canbe clearedofexcessfuel withthe
followingprocedure:
Pullchokeleveroutfully,then pushit
infullyto set enginein fast idleposi-
ton.
VerifythattheOn/Stopswitchis inthe
ON position.
Withsawonground,gripfront handle
withlefthandandplacerightfoot
throughrearhandle.
Gripstarterropehandleand pul!rope
firmlyandquicklyto startengine.If
notsuccessful,repeatu.ntilengine
starts.
Startingcouldrequire manypullsde-
pendingon howbadlyunitis flooded. If
enginestillfails tostart,refertoTROU-
BLESHOOTINGchartorcall

Stopthesawif the chainstrikesa for-
eignobject.Inspectthe saw andre-
pairpartsas necessary.

Evena smallamountofdirtwillquick-
lydulla chainand increase thepossi-
bilftyof kickback.
Practicecuttingafew smalllogsusing
thefollowingsteps.Thiswillhelpyou

Squeezethethrottletriggerandal-
lowtheengineto reachfullspeed
beforecutting. : .
Begincuttingwiththesaw frame
againstthelog.
Keeptheengineat full speedthe
entiretimeyouare cutting.
Allowthe chainto cut for you.Exert
onlylightdownwardpressure.
Releasethethrottletriggeras soon
as thecut is completed,allowingthe
enginetoidle.If yourunthe sawat .....
