stalling.
• Turnclockwiseto increase engine
speedif enginestallsor dies.
• Turncounterclockwiseto decrease
speed.
Nofurther adjustmentsare necessaryif
chaindoesnotmoveat idlespeedand
ifperformanceissatisfactory.
Low Speed Mixture "U'
Allowenginetoidle.Then accelerate
the engineand noteperformance.If en-
ginehesitates,bogsdown,orsmokes
duringacceleration,turnmixturescrew
clockwise in!/16-turnincrementsuntil
performanceissatisfactory.Repeatthis
procedureas necessaryfor properad-
justment.Aftercompletingadjustments,
checkfor accelerationandchainmove-
mentat idle.Resetifnecessary.
High Speed Mixture"H"
DONOT operateengineat full throttle
for prolongedperiodswhilemaking ad-
justments.Damagetothe enginecan
occur.Makea testcut.Basedon per-
formance ofthe sawwhilecutting,ad-
justthehighSpeedmixture settingin

* Clockwiseuntilthesaw hasgood
powerinthecutwithno hesitation.
Donotadjustby soundorspeed, but

• Countemlockwiseifthesaw has

powerinthe cut.
Aftercompletingadjustments,checkfor
accelerationandchainmovementat
idle.Resetif necessary.

Iftheenginediesorhesitatesinsteadof
accelerating,turnthe lowspeedmixture
adjustmentcounterclockwise untilyou
havesmoothaccelerationwithnochain
movementat idle.Recheckand adjust
as necessaryfor acceptableperfor-
mance.
Prepareyour unitfor storageat the end
of theseasonorif it willnotbe usedfor
30 daysor more.
