Clearing Blockages
Disconnect cleaner from electrical outlet.
Low suction or pick up may be due to a blockage in the system. Refer to the f0Ilowing steps to check
forblockagescontinuingwith each stepuntiltheblockage isfound:
Fullness of Check Airflow Check Secondary
Dirt Cup Path Filter
Check futlness of dirt
cup; empty if needed
Plug cleaner in and turn ON. Check
for suction at end of hose {A). ]F
there is suction turn cleaner OFF
and unplug,Check connectionat
hose tube {B);remove any blockage,
Check Hose Inlet
Tube
Turn cleaner OFF and
unplug.
If blockage can be seen
in tube {A), remove 5
screws using a Phitlips
screwdriver_
Pull tube from cleaner,
remove blockageo
Reposition tube on back
ofcleaner, replace 5
Screws.
Remove and cleansecondaryfilter
(Fig,4-B,po I0}_Replacefilter.

Bottom Plate

Turn cleanerOFF and
unplug,
Remove bottom plate
(Fig. 4-13) and agitator
brushrol] (Fig. 4-20).
Look into opening {A), in
channels {B) and around
liner (C) and remove any
accumulated debris,
Replaceagitator brushroll
and bottom ptate,
Blockage in Powered Hand Tool
Disconnect powered hand tool from hose.
Remove bottom plate, belt guard and
turbine as described inFigs,4-24, 4-25
and 4-3!.
Remove any blockage from turbine
channel.
Replace belt turbine, brushroll, belt guard
and bottom plate.
