Follow the basic rules and instructions:
Take the basic rules for preserving from a cook
book or read the special instructions in the re-
spective recipes. The procedures also apply to
use of this appliance.
Rack:

maximumoffourteen1litrejamjarsupto
11.5 cm diameter can be sterilized and preserved
in two layers on top of each other with the
appliance.
Note: Only used the rack intended for this
appliance (see list of accessories). Galvanised
sieves and rod inserts are not suitable because
faulty switching can be caused due to a lack of
circulation under the inserts.
Fillupwithwateruntilthetopjarsare
standing approx. 3/4 in water. When using
twolayers,thejarsbelowmustbesealedtight
with clips to prevent water from penetrating.
Setting the preserving temperature:
Set the preserving temperature by turning the
temperature controller (6) to the required tempe-
rature.
Please note that the heat-up time is not part of
the preserving time. The heat-up time can take
upto90minutesforalledappliance.
Note: The preserving time starts when the
indicatorlamp(9)goesoutforthersttime.

PRESERVING PRESERVATION TABLE
Always pull the mains plug out of the socket
before cleaning.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Rinse out the inside of the appliance. Only
clean the outside of the appliance with a
moist cloth. Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning equipment.
Regularly treat the appliance with a standard
limescale remover. Pay attention to the
manufacturer‘s instructions for use. Limescale
deposits on the base of the appliance
lead to losses in power and can impair the
service life of the appliance. Thoroughly
rinse the appliance with clear water after
limescale removal.
Use the cable holder and plug storage (7)
on the underside of appliance after use.
Only allow repairs to the appliance and
replacement of damaged mains cables to
be carried out by the manufacturer, customer
servicesorasimilarlyqualiedpersonto
avoid any dangers.
Guarantee repairs are only carried out by
the manufacturer.
The packaging and packaging materials are
made exclusively from environmentally-friendly
materials. They can be disposed of in the
local waste containers.

normal household waste at the end of its
service life in accordance with the electrical
and electronic equipment law. Therefore please
give it free of charge to your community

REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE ENTSORGEN
■ Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen immer den
Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
■ Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser.
■ Spülen Sie das Geräteinnere aus. Reinigen
Sie das Geräteäußere nur mit einem feuch-
ten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine scharfen und
scheuernden Reinigungsmittel.
■ Behandeln Sie das Gerät regelmäßig mit ei-
nem handelsüblichen Entkalker. Beachten
Sie dabei die Gebrauchshinweise des Her-
stellers. Kalkablagerungen am Geräteboden
führen zu Energieverlusten und können die
Lebensdauer des Gerätes beeinträchtigen.
Spülen Sie nach dem Entkalken das Gerät
gründlich mit klarem Wasser aus.
■ Verwenden Sie nach Gebrauch die Kabel-
aufwicklung und das Steckerdepot (7) an
der Geräteunterseite.
■ Lassen Sie Reparaturen des Gerätes sowie
das Auswechseln einer beschädigten Netz-
leitung nur durch den Hersteller, seinen
Kundendienst oder einer ähnlich qualizier-
ten Person durchführen, um Gefährdungen
zu vermeiden.
■ Garantiereparaturen werden nur vom Her-
steller ausgeführt.
Die Verpackung und das Verpackungsmaterial
bestehen ausschließlich aus umweltfreundli-
chen Materialien. Sie können in den örtlichen
Behältern entsorgt werden.
