DUALPURPOSENEEDLEPLATE
The dual purpose needle plate provides a small round needle hole (A) for
straight stitching and a wide oval hole (B) for zigzag and decorative
stitching on the center plate (C).
To slide center plate for model 16 and 54, remove hand hole cover plate and
move lever (D) to left for straight stitching and right for zigzag stitching
until it clicks.
To reverse center plate for model 1749, remove hand hole cover plate,
depress slightly and move lever (D) to the right; this releases center plate
so it can be removed. Reverse and reposition center plate, locking it into
place by moving lever (D) to the left.
