6 Care and maintenance
6.5 Opening the appliance door in the event of a power failure
Wait until the washing drum is completely stationary. A washing drum that is still
rotating poses a risk of serious injury.
▸Close the water tap and disconnect the appliance from the mains.
▸Open the drain tray by pressing it at the bottom or with the use of the
liquid detergent flap.
▸Fold the drain tray right down. If necessary, carry out emergency
draining.

▸Remove drain tray.
▸Remove the emergency door release tool 1 from its bracket.

▸Insert emergency door release tool into blue opening cap2 and turn
in direction of arrow.

The appliance door springs open.
Note: If the emergency door release tool is missing, a screw driver
can be used instead.
