Creating Gradients and Linear Fans
In addition to setting fixed values with the Palettes, it’s also possible to set a range of values across a selection of fixtures. For
example a fan of beams can be set on a selection of moving fixtures, or a color gradient across an LED strip. In myDMX 3.0 we
call these ‘Linea Fans’. To create a Linear Fan, select the the type of Fan from the dropdown list and then set the start and
finish values.
The image below shows how to create a fan of beams. In this case it’s normally best to select ‘Linear Fan from Left’. This means
that the first fixture will be set to the first position, the last fixture will be set to the last position, and the fixtures in between will
be calculated automatically.
