CAUSE
• Frozen idler pulley.
• Frozen blade mandrel.
• Engine speed too slow.
• Travel speed too fast.
• Wet grass.
• Mower deck not level.
• Low/uneven tireair pressure.
• Worn, bent or loose blade.
• Buildupof grass,leaves and
trash under mower.
• Mower drivebelt worn.
• Blades improperlyinstalled.
• Improper blades used.
• CIoggedmowerdeck vent
holesfmmbuiidupof
grass, leaves, andtrash
aroundmandrels.
• Switch is "OFF".
• Bulb(s) burnedout.
• Faulty lightswitch.
• Looseor damaged wiring.
• Blownfuse.
• Bad battery cell(s).
• Poorcable connections.

• Freewheel controlin"disen-

CORRECTION
i• Replace idlerpulley.
• Replace blade mandrel.
• Place throttle controlin=FAST"
position.
:• Shift to slowerspeed.
• Allow grass to dry befora mow-
ing.
• Level mower deck.
• Check tires for properair pres-
sure.
• Replace/sharpen blade. Tighten
blade bolt.
• Clean underside of mower
housing.
• Replace mower drive belt.
• Reinstall blades sharpedge
down.
• Replace with blades listedin
this manual.
• Clean aroundmandrels toopen
vent holes.
• Turn switch=ON'.
• Replace bulb(s).
• Check/replace lightswitch.
• Checkwidng and connections.
• Replace fuse.
• Replace battery.
• Check/clean all connections.
• Replace regulator.
• Replace alternator.
• Place freewheel controlin
"engaged" position.
• Replace motionddve belt.
• Purge transmission.
• Move throttle controlto =SLOW"
positionand allowto idlefor 30
seconds before stopping
engine.
