VENT RESTRICTOR
To fasten the Restrictor Plate to the ceiling of the firebox:
1/. Remove the 2 screws that are in place
2/. Remove portion of restrictor for your correct air flow
3/. Fasten Restrictor Plate back in place.

The restrictor plate is included loose in the bottom of your fireplace. The restrictor plate comes factory
set at 60% with 3 portions. For 40% restriction, break off one side of the restrictor plate. For 20%
restriction, break off both sides of the restrictor plate. For 0 restriction do not install.
No restrictor
0 – 10’
20% restrictor
10 – 18’
40% restrictor
18 – 26’
60% restrictor
26 – 34’
NOTE
ALLOWING THE VENT PIPE TO SLOPE DOWN TOWARDS THE VENT TERMINATION COULD
CAUSE POOR COMBUSTION AND/OR HIGH TEMPERATURES THAT MAY PRESENT A FIRE
HAZARD.
